I have used Aquarian for over 35 years. Never really liked the pre dampened resonate heads. Just the force 1 with its dampening ring vs the dampening ring in the center.

Thanks for the review. I bought one a couple years back to get the Minolta Rokkor 50mm 1.4 lens it came with. I'll grab a battery and check it out. Now I have a bunch of M42 vintage lenses, and find myself not taking my Fuji X gear outside as much as I should...(good reasons) So, I should try to flip it and the lens, now that the lenses have doubled or more in price, depending on your luck. (I got this and the lens for 25 bucks two years ago) You should know to not let the acid on your fingers stay on the battery. I always clean them just before dropping them in, but I should simply wear gloves. And of course, the camera is really made in Japan by Ricoh.

My K-70 went Aperture block after 15,000 clicks. I think my problem was caused not by non-use but by turning the camera off and on a lot. I use to be a hunter and when I was young, my father drilled gun safety into our heads. I always was subconsciously checking to see if my safety was on. I believe I carried this behavior over to my camera, By shutting it off, I was saving battery power but what I think what I was really doing was frying the solenoid coil. With your camera there it appears that you have a sticky solenoid valve which is mechanical, my problem on the other hand is electrical. So there can be two things going on here.

Lee, thank you for showing me this ;) I appreciate it! I am convinced. The body costs 3k and then a single lens I found was about 1k. It looks like a pentax medium format body which is weird for it. Can you advise on what lenses to buy? I want a normal 28mm or 35mm equivalent, also hoping there are some 1.2 or 1.4 lenses. I don't care if the lens is all manual as long as it is weather sealed. Thank you again!

Lee I decided after Pentax introduced the new Pentax 17 to repair my Spotmatic SP2 film camera somebody gave me a rolll of film and the roll was blank when I had it developed so I did a more thorough inspection of the camera and discovered the light seals needed replacement. A trip to Walmart for supplies I put new light seals and a mirror bumper in the camera. I ended up with camera when I bought a kit that had Takumar lenses a 35mm3.5, 50mm1.4 and a 135mm3.5 all the lenses had the original hoods , the kit had a full set of filters , extension tubes , A 2X teleconverter and a 70- 300 5.6 zoom lens I got the whole kit for $ 100.00 I figured the lenses alone were worth what I paid for the whole kit
