You say you sharpened the chain, but it is NOT sharp. If it was, those limbs would come off in half a second each. Spend the 20 bucks on a new chain, because you are wasting time and fuel, plus, dull blades are less safe.

We have Eastern Red Cedar (a type of juniper) here in NW Georgia. I use it for fence posts, hitching posts, and even made a large hanging sign frame out of three large trees. It holds up well in wet, buggie areas where treated lumber and steel have a short life span. It’s also all but free material.

This buggy horse looks great to me. I grew up around Standardbreds because my uncles used to do sulky racing. I had some Amish neighbors, he raised and trained Morgans and Morgan crosses, also mules and donkeys. Pulled the buggies and carts. Very well cared for animals.

No, it is not: back when people, horses and dogs performed manual/physical labor they "burned" fat and produced muscles, often showing a little rib. Nowadays, as they say, "Not so much." For the most part today, many people, horses and dogs produce only fat on their bodies, which is why 40% of contemporary Americans are obese. Check-out a WORKING American Standardbred, Saddlebred or Thoroughbred. Like human athletes, they look much different compared to "regular" folks.
