  @@DukeoftheAges i confirmed that you could. i thought it would be stupid if it locked you out of getting the non-lethal, if you hadn't gotten the marker. Thankfully, you can still get them.

  Indoctrination makes better sense than BioWare's stupid dogfart ending(s). Why would the Leviathan make the thing that made the Reapers? To kill all advanced organic life before it made AI, that would, in fact, kill all advanced organic life? So, the Leviathan made an AI to kill us organics, even though they were organic? And the only reason it (Starchild) stopped killing us all was because it was programmed to - because of new ..... possibilities? Why not program the dumb Starbrat to not kill everyone off of jump street, seeing as that the Leviathan were the smartest things in the damn galaxy? The talent that brought us the Original Mass Effect is long gone. What we are left with is the makers of Anthem. I have no idea how they are going to get the Magic back. Truth be told, I love the original game. Imagine Mass Effect 1 in 4K resolution and textures and 160 FPS, with Andromeda's combat engine - minus the dumb jet packs.

  lol I never understood why people thought Shepard was indoctrinated. Why would the reapers indoctrinate Shepard only for Shepard to destroy them?... Makes no sense.

  Idea is that they were attempting to indoctrinate, not that he was under reaper control And why wouldn't the reapers want to turn the guy trying the hardest to destroy them. That's a prime target.

  Because the final mission is all inside your mind. 😅 But in reality, remember Sarren who thought he was in control until the very end of the first game (he wanted to co exist) once he regains control, he kills himself. But at that point his mechanic form was used as a puppet.

  @@thedirtbagstash in the logical sense why would a race of super intelligent machines that have repeated a cycle for millions of years. who at this point in time have been pushed back the hardest in the short war theve had with the current cycle. even take the risk of letting the one person who has shown the most capability to defeat them at this point live long enough to damage them in any capacity. Theve had already recognized him as a threat hence why the sent the collectors to specifically target him at the begining of ME 2 and completely do a 180 and leave him alive and try to indoctrinate him.

  ​@@nathanielcolindres5117It's insane how people can't understand a simple story... Reapers are not interested in self preservation, they're not even at war and definitely not fighting to win. They're machines accomplishing a task. Like they say themselves, as soon as the parameters changed (lifeforms were able to prove they can work together instead of going down the path of self destruction), their mission changed, and destroying advanced civilizations wasn't the most efficient way to save life anymore (a good old Sci fi cliché). I mean it's pretty well known how ME2s story doesn't make any sense and doesn't even advance the plot, mainly because of Biowares decision to get away from Drew Karpyshyn' stotyline. That's why the game's events were brushed away in ME3 like they barely happened, to refocus on the original plot.

  I wonder if the comment on the "infiltration" style of Jack is a quip on the second game, since that one had interesting stealth mechanics but actually punished stealthy characters with infinitely respawning and seemingly psychic enemies while rewarding the overt run and gun approach with finite ones.

  You might want to give seize ground a try. It usually has more players and it's a bit more orderly, so it's a friendlier mode for newbies.
