Instead of a hard rock sound on the Judson lap steel guitar I think you would really appreciate the song High Hopes!! On that song David plays the same lap steel guitar but it's an absolutely beautiful guitar solo instead of a hard rock solo! Both sound great and even if you don't react to it just check it out for yourself again "High Hopes"!! Of course the same concert so you can see him playing that guitar.

I really glad you loved it. One reason that Dan can do something like this, is that he really DOES believe that hearts go on. When we lose someone to physical death, that doesn't mean we lose them from our hearts. Also, when the scriptures talk about "the great cloud of witnesses," it means those who have already moved on, physically, from this world. They don't lose THEIR hearts just because of physical death, either. Hearts do not become unlinked by death. How do I know that Dan feels that way? For one thing, I've heard him talk about some of those things during interviews I've seen. Another thing is that we know how he felt about his father passing away, and how he sang a very special tribute to him (just a few days later). Just watching him sing it, you can FEEL his emotions about the physical loss, but he chose an Elvis song his father loved, that repeats several times, "Glory, glory, hallelujah!" even after the lyrics also say, "...you know your daddy's bound to die..." Another song that he has done very beautifully, is "My Immortal." Talk about CONNECTION! Then there's "Fairy Tale." If you ever react to that one, it would be good if you check out the full original lyrics, before you hear Dan sing it. Then you can see more about how he feels, regarding heart connections never ending. Then there are quite a few tribute songs Dan has done for people who have helped him through the years, to learn the vocal skills that he so beautifully uses for our listening pleasure. There are also the songs that he sings that encourage others to never give up, and to not do foolish things like taking their own lives. You can search those out pretty easily, because most of his titles, descriptions, and/or outros explain why he's singing them. Two of my favorite songs that he does, are "For All," and "Son of Pain." Then there's "Nessun Dorma," which is also about defeating the spirit of death (in a more concrete manner than some of the others). Anyway...again...I'm really glad you love Dan's version of this song. Thank you VERY much for your reaction. 😀

A few fun facts about Queen: * Guitarist Sir Brian May has a Ph.D. in Astrophysics and built his electric guitar (Red Special) when he was 17 (with his dad). * Bassist John Deacon has a degree in electronics. He designed and built the amp that Brian sometimes uses to create unique sounds on Red Special. John was also involved in the band’s financial management. * Drummer Roger Taylor has a degree in biology (pre-med). His vocal range is better than most lead singers of other groups. * Lead singer Freddie Mercury has a degree in graphic design. It goes without saying that his vocal range was amazing and he was the best front man of any band. * All four have written #1 hits, and all are members of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
