Getting spacing correct is essential. I like to use a wad of tin foil sometimes and crush it down, then undo everything and see what it measures. Cheap and easy. Used that method recently to check for hood clearance over top of a manifold. Had to notch a little out of the under structure, but it worked like a charm.

@@traviswillard4841 It does take machine work on the blower to run the offset pulley. Look up Olson Kustom Werks. I've always heard the LS9 blower is a pain to work with because it takes a very dedicated drive system that was only used on the ZR1 and some of the brackets are obsolete now. So if you can create a drive for it that works on C5 or C6 corvette you would really be onto something!

I own a 2007 Ridgeline. In 2016 i towed a similar 5,000 pound travel trailer from Orange County, CA to Yellowstone and back. We put 5,000 miles on the trick on that trip. The ridgeline was purchased with the factory tow package, which is excellent. I added a brake controller to the truck for that trip. It towed perfectly. Climbing up out of Salt Lake City the truck shifted down to 2nd and we barely kept speed over 40 mph, so we were definitely at max load. I think we got 6 mpg on that tank of gas! We pushed the truck hard and it never missed a beat. It was a perfect trip in middle of summer. Currently I have 271,000 miles on the truck. Besides regular maintenance I have had to replace the alternator, the AC compressor, one of the radiator fans, and a power steering hose.

Oh they were all busting their asses on 135 degree track temperature. They torched it and scraped it from the 330' all the way out to the shutdown area. Then ran the rotators over a half dozen times. This took about 40 minutes. Then they ran the whole field of Jr Dragsters, went out and looked at the left lane and started over. Another hour worth of torching and scraping all by hand. another 10 minutes of running the rotators and then a couple passes with the glue 4 wheeler. I'm not saying anybody did anything wrong other than the driver but as a fan/spectator this really sucked. That being said I am a 100% drag and drive enthusiast so hopefully this doesn't kill off the exhibition events at the National Events. P.S I absolutely can't say this for fact, but I do have to wonder if that car had Anti-Freeze in it even though they are NOT supposed to. I've always been told that crap can be 10x worse to get off the track than oil.

Interesting idea with the welded nut on top of the post. Here's an idea to expand on it. You can attach a torque multiplier to the nut. The arm of the torque multiplier can then be used to push/ rotate the horizontal arm. Then you need to find a way of mounting a drill motor to the torque multiplier, along with a foot pedal for controlling the motor. This would give you a powered tire changer and the ability to free up your hands.

I would not stack washers under this tray for multiple reasons. You want to endure tge tray rests on a solid standoff. The better way to do this is to add metric un flanged nuts to the studs then the tray. Tge washers will inevitably move around over time. Lots of moving parts and stuff moving around in there.
