    I just notched out a scrap of 2x4, screwed it to another 2x4 as a backer and screwed the whole thing to the base of the wall in my garage. It's been working fine for 10 years. You don't need a hinge to pivot, just a way to keep the bar from sliding

    I mean you can create a landmine by cutting open a tennisball and using a corner in you gym as the anchor. Will protect the bar better, only requires a blade, and only costs $1.

    This is amazing! Where did you get the 2 inch diameter metal pipe? The Home Depot near me doesn’t sell it. *You could totally make sell these land mines for a good amount during covid if you were interested this looks high quality haha.

    Depending on your location, you could find this at home Depot or Lowes. It's 2inch diameter pipe.

    I use the magport ones and the magnets (8) are setup positive - negative - positive - negative etc. Very easy to connect and disconnect. The way you do it is like having a male female connection.

    Smart idea....here I am covering everything in a three foot radius with spray glue to glue a flimsy paper template down. Nice work.
