It's hard to name exact fallacies here. It's more just that the logic doesn't hold. Saying big tobacco is incentivized to keep the child alive ignores the fact that they could be making money on all the people who don't get cancer at the cost of some getting cancer. It's also wrong to say that just because they're incentivized to do it, that means they're doing it. "Trafficking in human misery" isn't even an argument... it's just buzzwords. But even so, the politician isn't profiting, he gets paid the same salary either way. Furthermore, we have the same incentive-actuality mixup. He dubiously asserts that activists want the tobacco deaths to continue. Even if that were true, he hasn't shown any plausible causal link between them and the child's cancer, because there obviously isn't one. Incentives aren't magic, they still have to be enacted in the world to matter. So, no real named fallacies here (except Ad Hominem) .. mostly just bad logic.

that's the fallacy objective in this video. A prostitute can point out someone is promiscuous. A criminal can say "you're wrong for stealing". Doesn't make them wrong.

Che uomo STRAORDINARIO, pieno di sincerità, bontà di cuore e puro amore, era Don Milani ... Esattamente così dovrebbe essere ogni buon insegnante ... dovrebbe aver a cuore non solo l'istruzione in sé, ma anche l'edificazione della mente e dell'animo di ognuno dei suoi allievi, senza mai lasciare indietro nessuno ... anzi, facendo tesoro di ogni occasione in cui chi riesce meglio può e deve prendere per mano chi, invece, riesce forse meno bene ... Perché il bene più grande, la cosa più elevata e nobile che si può apprendere a scuola è la grandezza delle anime, di tutte le anime ... e il valore inestimabile della solidarietà, della spontanea condivisione, del sincero desiderio di dare, senza necessariamente aspettarsi qualcosa in cambio ... dare per il solo grande piacere di sentirsi vivi, in gioiosa comunione con gli altri ...

The appeal to hypocrisy (aka tu quoque). Just because what someone said is hypocritical doesn't make their point wrong. For example, while a drug addict would be hypocritical for calling fast food unhealthy, they'd still be right about fast food.

@@NateTalksToYou I would consider it more for an appeal to perspective. Nobody is arguing that tabaco is unhealthy. What he is arguing is that just because tobaco is unhealthy does not mean it needs to be banned. How unhealthy does something need to be for it to be banned or given a warning label? lets eleiminate car crashes and ban cars, terrorist attacks and ban planes, disease and regulate breathing air within 6 feet of each other, ect ect ect.

The British were never going to give us full independence. The Free State was the best option at the time. It was either that or war with the British and we couldn’t keep on fighting.

Pensa che Sylvester Stallone ha vinto un casino di Razzie Awards, cioè i contro Oscar che vengono assegnati alle peggior performances recitative, tra i quali anche peggior attore del decennio 80 e peggior attore del secolo. Io onestamente non ho le facoltà per giudicare la bravura recitativa di un attore (si ok, riconosco una ottima recitazione da una scadente ma in generale tutti gli attori che arrivano ad Hollywood sono grandi professionisti), ma ho sempre apprezzato gran parte dei film di Sly, mi dispiace un pò per questo lato non riconosciuto della sua carriera. Ok magari altri attori avranno meritato più di lui l'Oscar, ma definirlo peggior attore del decennio e del secolo anche no dai
