Hey Everyone!
I am Max! I make Yu-Gi-Oh! Content and are a Competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! Player. The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG card game is a fast paced and complex game that can be completely overwhelming to someone when they are first getting started. The content on my channel focuses on teaching new or casual players on how to ease their way in to the modern competitive scene in a step by step process.
Even as a Competitive Player, I also love the anime and will have more casual content too. One of these are character duels, which are a reimagined way of experiencing the Yu-Gi-Oh! duels from the show that more encapsulates how the card game is played! I hope enjoy the content.

Defintly plan to get 3 of him, and 3 battleguarde echoes and 3 dai for my war rock deck. MeteoRagon, and Bashileos will be allot easier to spam out since pyrite knight summons a warriror during the battle phase any level, and unlike war rock mountain the monster he summons wont have to be a war rock. thanks to double dai now I can summon bashileos out whos a level 8 warriror then be granted access to meteoragon, and Skyler straight from deck since thier only level 6, and 7.

To me a card like this new Morganite will be a problem, there is already too many FTK and huge monsters as Borrelsword and Access...
I can see where your concern is coming from, but I don’t think it will be a common problem. I don’t see deck running this generically just to pull off otks because this card is slow going first and loses you advantage for a slow extra draw with morganite. Going second it doesn’t affect your opponent’s strategy or really progress yours actively. It’s assuming you can play through your opponents board where you can actually get to access code or Borrelsword Dragon. It was bought up in the community tab that this could be good in dinomorphia. I could see that double attack double damage being good in that deck since it’s a slower deck that benefits from an increase in tempo in a longer drawn out duel.

@@victorleppas3067 I wasn’t thinking about thrust. With thrust I think there is more of a chance to use it as a otk card going second since you just side 1 but I still don’t think it will be a meta problem we will be complaining about. But that does make it significantly easier to use. I could be wrong so we will have to wait and see
So excited to play this engine with Yubel I hope they aren’t too expensive on release
Unfortunately I think this engine will be expensive I can see it being $200. I would check presale on sites like gamers choice for U.S. or Tier Zero for Europe. Sometimes the presales are good prices sometimes it drops. But if you want the cards I would check out those sellers to see if the prices seem fair to you. I would stir away from TCG Player for presales
I love exodia i wish we know more about his lore, and i think konami gonna make zorc and his supports too.
I hope they release that information too! It would be cool to see those strategies clash!

Out of, Kitt, Neeval, Fraktal and Kerras the tri engine. Which of those can activate in the GY to banish from the GY to special summon?
I think the wording for your question might be off. Kit and Nerval both have effects that activate when sent to the graveyard. Kit sends a tri-brigade card and nerval searches a tri-brigade monster. All the main deck tri-brigades have an on field effect to banish beast, beast warrior or winged beast monsters (tri-type) from the graveyard to special summon a tri-type link monster with a link rating equal to the number of banished monsters. So banish 2 tri-types special a link 2. Does that answer your question?

The way you broke down the sequences was easy to follow! to summarize none of those 4 tri types mentioned above when sent to the gave yard or when In the graveyard will be able to trigger their effect to banish to link summon? That banish to link summon effect must activate from the monster while they are on the field?
@@michaelb7753 I am glad the video helped and the explanation made it more clear! Your summary is correct! Tri-Brigade has flow to the way they access each other and you can start with Fraktall, Kit or Nerval to get your plays started. Tenki searches Fraktall as well as more starters. I will type out some stuff on the combo incase it helps make it more clear but you might already understand all this from the combo video. The goal is to get to Revolt so you can summon Shuraig on the opponent's turn for a non targeting banish as well as getting follow up and replenishing your resources since the banished tri-types go back to the gaveyard to be used again on the next turn. The cards being summoned out from revolt and going to grave trigger cards like Kit and Nerval or the Tri-Brigade Link Monsters if they are properly summoned (if you cheat them out with an effect Revolt can't summon them out). If Shuraig goes to the graveyard you can search a tri-type with a level less than or equal to the amount of banished tri-types so even if you have 1 banished tri-type you can search nerval which can use its on field effect to banish monsters from graveyard to summon another Shuraig on the opponent's turn or you can seach D.D. Crow if you want a hand trap to further interrup the opponent.
@@michaelb7753 The platform I was using was called Edo Pro I have a link to a bunch of different online simulators in my description. I like Edo Pro just because the interface is smoother and its automatic so it gives you prompts when things need to activate. If you want an online simulator that has more of a player base for testing I would checkout Omega or Nexus. Edo Pro doesn't have many players online now a days. If you want a manual simualtor where you can test in a way that feels more relaistic to playing in person checkout Dueling Book. Competitive players like this since the simulator isn't helping you by reminding you of things and if you misclick you can take a move back unlike in the automated ones. If you want an official simulator check out Master Duel on steam. They have the Tri-Brigade cards in their and it has the nicest smoothest game play and its also simulated too!

@@ilgattoyuumi The first part is just engagement it helps the video perform better. Second I don't mind negative comments much. If there is something constructive I can get out of it great. If not that is fine and I just forget about it. Your comment actually gave me and idea I want to try that might work better than my initial idea so thank you! Even though I would prefer if your comment had something constructive to work with initially.
Make blue eyes tier 1 or tier 0 would be nice with these new cards
Personally I would like the main character anime decks to be playable tier 2 ish status at the highest versus tier 1 or tier 0. This way players can usually compete with the deck in most formats at a regional to local level. Tier 0 and Tier 1 decks last 6 months to a year in playability usually. So at some point people would be tired of them and things would need to be hit or they would have to be power crept. With how much anime support they make for Kaiba and Yugi around Blue-Eyes and Dark Magician I think it would always be a design challenge to give them new cards without banning the new busted cards they just got. I think more casually compeitive players that like Blue-Eyes and Dark Magician would like if there deck doesn't get hit with bans and limits especially after just getting these new cards which would also be pricey. I remember when magician souls came out it was $80 on presale and $120 because it was so good in spyral which sucked for Dark Magician players since the card was good in Dark Magician but not busted

Nice! I hope you get to finish the deck. And they did release a new Fusion Monster which is pretty much Light and Darkness Dragon if you haven't seen it yet
My favorite card value wise I would consider getting is qcsr Crossout Designator. The card I am most excited for look wise is the alternate art Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay!

That is true but the same could be said for the two Purrely cards. The only thing I could think of is that they were pricey or not reprinted when the others were but I am not sure on that. I envy the OCG rarity distribution and overall pricing, but I prefer the way the TCG handles the banlist
What’s that synchro
The synchro is Rampaging Smashtank Rhynosaber. But I realized after talking with people in the comments that I misunderstood how Drytron Mu Beta works. I didnt realize you can use the body and materials as tribute all at once. You can do a better line just going into F.A. Dawn Dragster and Drytron Meteonis Alpha Draconids. The Rhynosaber is not required but an optional line you can do but it takes up extra space but then the card effect protection from Drytron Meteonis Alpha Draconids does protect Mu Beta as your spell and trap negate where F.A. Dawn Dragster is not. But it’s probably not worth the Extra Deck slot in my opinion

That feeling when a deck you've built piece by piece in the tcg is released as a structure deck in the ocg.
That hurts! That is how I felt in Master Duel when I was helping my friend build Swordsoul and they announced the structure deck reward
@@MaxxCTCG oh no! 🥹 building in MD is even harder because you can’t just order a card like on eBay, you gotta use gems and break down cards and everything, a whole deck on there is a journey. Man I spent a good couple hundred bucks on my Eldlich deck getting specific rarities card by card for the whole deck. (Obviously needed gold rares for the theme but some secrets too). I’ll probably end up getting the OCG structure anyway because I’m just a big Eldlich fan. Thanks for posting this video man, great content. Keep doing you homie
@@loubert7150 The nice thing with the high rarity builds is it’s usually something you keep forever and they hold better value. Plus you can floodgate someone out in style lol Eldlich gold rare I like too because of the theme with the cards like you said. But usually not a fan of the gold rare because I don’t like the random gold rare in my deck. But if it’s the focus of the deck then it’s a different story. I like that master duel gives you the option of the free to play journey but yea it can be rough at times. Making Snake-Eye and Purrely took me a bit doing it free to play. The support means a lot. I wish it said links and fusion because this would work well with Trickstar fusion
That is true but the link for Trickstar is still really easy to go into. I feel you would generally go into the link before the fusion anyway. Plus being only link connects the two archetypes together more

@@jackle2716 Since it has Trickstar in the name and the always treated as a "Marincess" Card. Its pretty much part of both archetypes. The Marincess part of the effect doesn't override the Trickstar in the name but is more of an add on. We saw a similar setup with the Raidraptor Phantom Knight Support.

I can see it working with Dark World not being a hard OPT, and further Genta recursion outside of its hard OPT. I'm just not 100% sure about making optimal usage yet
I think finding the optimal usage is hard right now but that is a great suggestion I haven't thought of that one!
This was released alongside ashened, being the field spell does something when it's destroyed which is part of its kit from the get go which shuffles it's gy card back into the deck when it's played again as part of the effect. It's a no brainier
@@Art3mis_The_Imp_Clips Ashened does synergize with this support too! Thanks for bringing it up not sure how I didn't catch that one. Unfortunately I am not sure if this helps that Ashened deck much but I am going to look into it!
@@MaxxCTCG i've played it first hand, it's basically the best way to recover ashened monsters from the gy or banishment
Funny how this set gave us not just one, but two, piece of support for Battleguards. If Battleguard Curse was a real card, it would synergize well with Pyrite Knight.
I looked up Battleguard Curse and came across Battleguard Sorcery. I love that you can steal your opponent's monsters! I think that idea is really cool. As a trap its kinda slow but if its easily searchable and they make this into not just an anime card that would be cool!

The monsters cosmic anatomy reminds me of Visas Starfrost, as well as the orbs around the monsters rings looking like the broken worlds in the exact order from the new world amritara field spell.
Really cool lore call outs! I really like the connection to New World Amritara Field Spell! This does seem like a monster that would be conquering and collecting worlds.
@@MaxxCTCG its a long stretch with it. Although it does look like something to fit the lore. I wish that the Visas Starfrost would just continue since it's nowhere close to being finished.

@@zarc745 I am not a fan of how the veda boss monster wins but I think more Visas Lore would be cool. I hope we eventually starting getting the lore books in English and more of the animations expanding out those stories

I did. I get what the support is attempting to do I just don't think its very good unfortunately. I think they needed better main deck support
@@MaxxCTCG Maybe we might get a third wave because this theme is based off of Dark Souls which has 3 games.
Also I think we are still paying for Burning Abyss's sins because Konami of Japan doesn't like the tcg so they have the tcg make their exclusives weaker than they were supposed to be and someone commented on a different video that they have a friend in card design that spearhead's effect was supposed to be a quick effect.
Also at least this theme is better than Tistina and seems more fun than Tistina to, but I have also heard that you could take this deck to locals and win with it but for now it seems to me this deck is more for casual play.
@@YgoFoxFire From what I have heard others say is that TCG Exclusive archetypes only get to 7 card waves of support. Then from there it's up to the OCG to print support so we might be out of luck for now. Which is unfortunate since the ideas behind the strategy was cool and the art was amazing!

Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words! I am glad the way I go about breaking things down and explain things was helpful. I do think the deck has some solid potential when the new support comes out. I think it's just about crafting your lines to deal with cards like Nibiru and Droll if they are popular. Outside of trickstar content is there a type of content that you are interested in seeing from the channel in the long term? I want to try and make sure people that subscribe due to coverage of specific decks aren't bored after a while if the decks aren't covered often enough
@@MaxxCTCG Well I have been trying to cook up ancient gear list due to new support but im more of trickstar otp can't wait for new stuff you come up with

@@6210classick"shuffle random cards from your hand into the Deck until equal to that sum" VS "shuffle random cards from your hand into the Deck equal to the difference" Overall no I still think the card is good, and I feel most of the time you aren't going to have 6+ more cards in hand than your opponent controls. I feel most of the time you will draw 1-3 cards, and your opponent gets to play. Pure Snake-Eye only gives you 2 cards, Fire King Snake-Eye gives you 3 cards, Voiceless Voice gives you 2 cards, Branded gives you probably 0-1 cards. I could see this change hurting more if your opponent summons a lot and you draw a lot of cards and then you hit them with a Nibiru. Then there board is smaller and they gave you a lot of cards. But in that situation they probably over committed into the cards and you are probably fine anyway. This change diffidently makes the card worse then before when this situation arises. If I am understanding the card text correctly. If your have 10 cards in hand and your opponent ends with 4 cards on field now you are shuffling 6 cards randomly back into the deck versus shuffling 4. That does hurt more but I think the new text makes more sense. What do you think?
@@MaxxCTCG it's the number of cards your opponent controls +6 so if ya have 10 cards and your opponent has 4 then it's 4+6 = 10 and 10 - 10 = 0 so ya don't shuffle anything. Also, ya it make it sounds like drawing extra 1-2 cards isn't that big of a deal but we both know that in this game, a single card can change the entire outcome of the duel
@@6210classick I was reading the + 6 as meaning 6 or more cards, which sounds like I just interpreted the +6 wrong. But either way I don't think this part of the effect will come up much since not many decks will keep summoning from hand. But I like it as a failsafe built into the card. Yea I like that it is a great card going second but not necessarily a main deck card since it’s dead going first. It will be a great card but not as game warping as maxx c. And yea drawing 1-3 cards can completely change the duel. It your opponent still gets the chance to play great card design honestly
