  This is an ideal example of elitist projection. She is using Marxist dialectic to criticize a straw dog called "populism." That more reasonably resembles elitists and their (her) ideology. In doing so she's advancing the philosophy of class theory as superior to elitist theory. Like all elitists do. Because class theory factionalizes the people so the elite can better tyrannize us. Perhaps because she sees the world as a struggle of classes against classes and not the elite against the people. Thrasymachus would be proud of her efforts.

  I took courses with Taylor at McGill in the mid 80s. What came through in every lecture was his deep sense of humanity and caring for his students. Incredibly, he taught Introduction to political philosophy and was also my first year student advisor (helping us choose courses etc.) His humility and kindness was remarkable. I remember someone telling me that he was a world renowned philosopher, and thinking, you mean the guy who helps me choose my courses and signs off on my selection? The guy who wears the sloppy tennis shirts? A great thinker and communicator, no doubt, but his legacy to me will be his great humanity and caring.

  There are facts which are being left out. It is only women who have babies and women WANT to have babies by and large. Also a society which does not have enough children is going to be in big trouble. This fact is left out of the discussion. A second related fact is that women prefer big and strong men. Nerds for many women are largely a reason for amusement. Finally women prefer social science and music and poetry to fields like mathematics and engineering. So "equality" is the wrong slogan. Well being is a better slogan because it recognizes that people differ from each other and that (statistically) women differ from men. If we have two career women discussing the status of men and women, with no housewives present, you are not going to be a realistic discussion. This is not to say that Martha is "wrong". Only that she is incomplete.

  Wo steckt er das Geld denn rein ? NGOs ? Genau die haben das Problem noch verstärkt. War das so gewollt.? Allgemein Unterstützung wo fur wehn und wer soll das bezahlen . ? Noch mehr Fluchtlinge nach Europa Locken ? Deutschland ist mit ihrem Asylrecht dieser Vision auf den Leim gegangen . Sollen die Millardare doch in den Länder wo die Flüchtlinge leben das Leben dort verbessern . Aber darum gehts doch gar nicht . Es geht immer nur um Geld und noch mehr Geld. An den schulden verdienen diese Milliardäre doch denn sie verleihen das Geld. Der Kampf zwischen Arm und Reich gewinnt immer REICH IMMER.

  Elections are a competitive process. Democratic governance is not. Issues brought to the attention of the electorate during the election process are in fact a gradation of concerns within a nation. Once some one is elected in a free, fair and legally established process those prioritized concerns should go on a list with the focus on resolution for the good of the people.
