  • @mikerowchip2945

    Yep, that's it. I played for years and years without really researching anything, I just liked driving the trains around. I started watching KZread videos to learn more, but remember, KZread did not even launch until 2005. And then, as you pointed out, when I started posting videos about two years ago, all my very helpful viewers began to educate me. I have learned more about railroads in the last two years than in any other part of my life. Of course, I just retired 2 years ago, so that also allows for a lot more free time to dedicate toward my interests. Thanks for watching!

    4459 was built in 1920 by Lima and is one of the last batch ordered by Union Pacific. 4451-4480 S-6 was its class. 4455 & 4466 are preserved but 4459 went to scrap. Sweet engine to add up in Thurmond. Might need another one to help with Thurmonds yard. Great video Mikerowchip, vintage railroading at its finest.

    You have to stop using the auto brakes. When you release those they are not instant the train has to build the air pressure back up to at least 80 psi to release the brakes. You need to use the dynamic breaking when stopping.

  • @mikerowchip2945
    @mikerowchip294513 күн бұрын
