    @Emma I have a CD that was made in Japan from Victor for Isao Tomita’s The Planets. I used Google translate to see what was written about the CD, and found out that the manufacturing process had more attention to detail, and higher quality materials than a typical CD. Physically looking at the CD, you can definitely tell it’s different than a typical USA-made CD. The quality looks to be way better to the eye. As for playback, well, only if you have very high-end studio gear would you ever notice a difference I suppose. I should also mention I have had the honor of working with Japanese people several times, and their work ethics are (for a lack of better words) overwhelming, or staggering perhaps, when it comes to us. Not to say anything wrong with “Made in America”… but the Japanese approach is both noticeable and appreciated. My Roland synth was carefully packaged, and all dials and controls were neatly centered, as well as the packaging was all carefully arranged. Yup… gotta love Japan for their quality and attention to detail.

    @analogemma so I was on pain medication pretty bad as a teenager for a big accident, and ended up being on methadone which I'm still on today. SADLY the methadone causes constipation of severe variety. This makes it so I have constant tearing and bleeding and basically hard as rocks. I now have trouble with my pelvic floor and constant abdominal pain and I'm only 28. 2 months ago in May I got tboned by another car at 55mph and the seat belt bruised my stomach and and my abdominal wall and kidneys got contusions and since then the pain has been a nightmare. I had a catscan and they told me my abdomen and kidneys were bruised but I'd be OK in a few weeks. I checked my chart weeks later and wat they didn't tell me is I have an umbilical hernia. I still have this cold pain feeling in my abdomen daily and think I might still be bleeding a bit but I don't have a gi appointment for another 2 weeks. I didn't even sleep last night because the pain all through my abdomen was so bad. I don't know what to do!

    Of all things, it reminds me less of a Wurlitzer than it does have another German export, the Hohner Chembalet. Think Pianet with the same 61-key C-to-C range as most synthesizers.

  • @analogemma
    @analogemma10 күн бұрын

    That would be because they copied the Cemblet! It has a plucking system with reeds instead of the Wurlitzer's hammers, and the Pianet's sticky pads. All of which I have videos on :)

    @@analogemma I've also noticed that different gear just sounds different/better/worse with different people playing. I've known loads of people who complain about the muddy midrange honk of a Les Paul, but I never have that problem because I play with a brighter attack...but at the same time, I cannot for the life of me get a sound I like out of a Strat, even if most of my favorite players preferred one. Same goes with amps - one piece of gear will respond differently to different playing styles. Sounds like that Princeton just really liked what you were feeding it that day. 😈

    Great Video I enjoyed it. That said I purchased my 1st Vox Continental brand new in 1968. Tried to buy one after graduating the 8th grade during the Summer of 1965 looking to start a band after 7 years of Accordion lessons. I couldn’t find my choice a Vox at that time so I purchased what I could find at a Music Dealer close to home being a Farfisa Combo Compact which was also one Heck of an instrument. It didn’t have the looks of a Vox but it certainly didn’t disappoint being my band kept getting better and better with more and more gigs to play at back in the day until my Junior Year of high school the 11 grade when Uncle Sam came calling for 2 of our oldest members looking to draft them for the Viet Nam War. At that point in time after almost 3-1/2 great years with the group I didn’t want to start over being I was only another year away from pretty much the same thing happening feeling it would be a waste of my time. At the same time I had no plans for college and kids that didn’t go to college Uncle Sam looked to grab first. Today at 73 years old I still own a Vox Continental and a Super Vox Continental both in great shape. I also own a B3 Hammond w/122 Leslie and have a 145 Leslie with Leslie Preamp to connect either of the Vox Continentals two. I should mention to you. If you ever get a chance to plug your Vox Jaguar into a Leslie do it. You will never believe the sound coming out of it. Through a Leslie it sounds like a Hammond B3. I am not kidding you. I also own a Vox Amp and it is perfect in catching the Vox Sound it was intended for but having a Leslie makes it into 2 different sounding organs. Keep up what you are doing. It sounds like you are getting to know a lot about Electronics. I had an Electric Shop Class in my Freshman year in High School between September of 1965-June of 1966. I learned a great deal in that class and built another Speaker Cabinent with 2 - 12” Speakers to connect through my Fender Bandmaster I used in my Band that came with 2 - 12” speakers.
