    How many hours on the mower, do you have a ballpark figure? What a new motor would cost.

  • @thefantasticadventuresofmr7126
    @thefantasticadventuresofmr7126Ай бұрын

    When I bought the mower It had 1700 hours on it and on the new motor I already have 178 hours on it. A motor will run you roughly $2800 And that’ll come with a three-year warranty through Kawasaki.

    I'm mowing with my 1989 model. 14hp kawasaki. 35 years old, two pulls, and were up and running. The only issue i've had is finding parts Especially the spindles

  • @thefantasticadventuresofmr7126

    So I worked at the gravely dealer in Knoxville, TN and I’m pretty sure they used those spindles all the way to the end of that deck style. The newer ones were the grease less ones. But they still bolted up no problem. Just used a different pulley up top.

    Legitimately one of the best full size compact tractors ever made (the 1050 is the biggest and deere most reliable ever made according to their own metric) the 1050 rus the same exa t 3t90 engine except built for and with an rhb6 turbo. The 1050 is in fact alittle bigger and stronger than the 850, also came with double clutch for live pto. The hydralics were improved massively over time aswell. The old school sliding gear trans is absolutely bulletproof. They were built by yanmarto deeres bigger, more powerful all steel, much stronger cooling system and vented front axle on mfwd models...not to mention the open center hydraulic system is highly unusual for deere

    Nice work. I restored a Scag Freedom Z last year. First Scag for me. I was impressed with how much easier it is to cut the lawn with a zero turn. This year I restored a Tiger Cub. Wow. it is so much faster than the Freedom Z with its wheel motors and pumps. I may look for a Farris for its suspension system.

  • @thefantasticadventuresofmr7126
    @thefantasticadventuresofmr71268 ай бұрын

    Thank you. I’m working on a video that will show a comparison between the turf tiger and the Farris right now. With the mowing season winding down for the year I might be mulching leaves instead of cutting grass. I want to do comparison on speed, cut quality, and how comfortable they are to the operator. It should be interesting. Right off the bat I can tell you hands down the Farris has more power then the turf tiger who would have thought going from 27hp to 31hp would have made that much of a difference.

    I have the same lens, and it's really not the "1.33x" it says on the box. :) I mean, if it means stretching the picture horizontally by a factor of 1.33. If it said 1.2x, I'd say it's close to what it actually does.

    So I used it some for the video when I went to pikes peak and I liked how the video turned out. It’s to bad that no one has come out with custom go pro firmware that would allow you to use steady shot in combination with the lens. In my opinion that would be one heck of a combination. But for now it works great with a tripod.
