Texan here. Before I was forced out by the flood of Californians moving to Austin I was told by a Californian who had just moved to Austin a few days prier that Austin is not Texas. Don’t tell me about my home state. Austin is very Texas. Yes It is very liberal but it is still very Texan it’s our state capitol for crying out loud. We use to be a welcoming state but it doesn’t hurt my feelings that Californians are leaving Texas. Californians are the worst!

If I ever needed to move to Texas for any reason, my place would be San Antonio... The Mexican American culture, gastronomy, and friendliness was something to really admire! Also is one of the best places in the nation for single men. Since ratio is better than most of the US..
When it comes to heat, the worst part of TX I experienced was Laredo.. It was overwhelming! San Antonio and even Houston were manageable compared to Laredo..

Avoid Pflugerville, Round Rock, Manor, Elgin, Kyle, Buda, Taylor and Hutto. Buy west of IH 35. The hottest areas today in the Austin market will be Lago Vista, Cedar Park, Liberty Hill, Leander and Jonestown.
I love the warm summer nights of Texas. I love not having to put on a jacket ever during the summer. What I like least about Austin's climate is actually the winter - it gets too cold!
I travel a lot for my job first time I ever went to Austin was in 07 and I how nice it was I could walk all over Austin and not have a care in the world, as the years went on I see the change. Until 2020 21 22 23. I was like when the hell did Austin become LA. I live in Florida and I love Florida. It is becoming more Texas then Texas and I love it

Manor, Texas is a dump. Those that know, know that you avoid most areas east of IH 35 ie Kyle, Manor, Eglin, Hutto, Taylor, Buda, Pflugerville, Round Rock and most of Georgetown. The school system in Manor is below avg. If you want to see what is in Manor, just go to the junior high or high school. You will see enough from that to know Manor needs to be avoided. And traffic? ha ha ha ha ha
California is a tough state to match , especially when you have the luxury of getting from the mountains, deserts, city, suburbs, and beaches all within 3 hours.
Where is the best for operating food truck and living a family and education? Austin or Dallas?
