    Do you turn the bolt holding the tensioner pulley clockwise and we can move the tensioner enough to get the belt off?

    @TheMrFlyBoy18 if your looking up at the tensioner pull counter or toward the front of vehicle. If you managed to get a rachet on it from above push toward the rear of the vehicle. Anyway, yeah counter clockwise

    How do you release the tensioner to make it fit

  • @jayalli707
    @jayalli707Ай бұрын

    There is a notch (square hole) in the tensioner that you slap a ratchet into and pull up.

  • @josephzamora8535
    @josephzamora85352 ай бұрын

    You didn’t mess up the tension when you loostened your tensioner of the serpentine belt? Also, you didn’t mess up the alternator when you loosened that and “rocked it back”? I’m new to mechanics

  • @jayalli707
    @jayalli7072 ай бұрын

    The tensioner returned to its "tension" position. There is a pin hole to hold the tensioner in place that's supposed to be used. So, yes you'll loose tension but... it's appropriate. As long as it gets back that tension when you're ready to roll all us good

  • @josephzamora8535

    Ahhh. Nice. Have you messed about with the timing belt? I believe the timing belt is part of the water pump module, correct? I hear both of those should be replaced at 100k

  • @jayalli707
    @jayalli7072 ай бұрын

    @josephzamora8535 I have done the timing and it does (the belt) run over the water pump sprocket. I'd agree with the change at 100k. I heard 75k along with a tune-up.

I can't post pics on KZread to see the diagram visit patreon.com/gofast717 I remember from old mentors saying never torque a cylinder head from out to in. Found other diagrams and KZread videos. Top and bottom Vbelt idlers need to come off. Vbelt tensioner comes off. Water pump pulley (3 bolts) needs to come off. Idler(s) need to come off first to get to the tensioner 2 tensioner bolts (13mm) Ac condenser bracket (3 13mm bolts) to get to the bolt (10mm) on the oil pan that screws into the bottom of the timing cover. There are 4 bolts total that screw up from the oil pan to underside of timing cover. 2 12mm bolts on the bottom left/right side of cover. 3 10mm bolts on both the left and right side plus 1 in the middle. Then 2 more 12mm bolts topside. Cover needs pryed off and regasketed.

    3rd fuse on front of engine fuse box is radiator fuse. Brown wire/ground wire Located under driver side head light. 10mm bolt keeps wires secure. Replaced radiator fans. Replaced blown radiator fuse and some relays. Replaced coolant temp sensors. Still no fans😕. Couple weeks ago made a visual inspection of the wiring grounds to frame. Looked good to me. In a moment of frustration (and not able to find multimeter) took a razor and cut into the ground wire covers. All grounds on driver side mounted to frame are burnt out. !@#& awesome.

    Disconnect throttle body sensor. Disconnect charge pipe sensor. There is a mounting bolt for the charge pipe (t30). Difficult to get to from up top. I Disconnect the charge pipe so I can wiggle off the hose or sleeve that connects the throttle body to charge pipe. (Edit) it is possible to wiggle off the sleeve without taking off the charge pipe but it's a !@# pain and has risks of damaging the charge pipe
