I really want to drive a truck do I have my class b CDLs I really am wanting to drive that is one of my passions I'm just hoping me having a felony like 13 years ago will affect me I already tried to get a job at panther and yet they shot me down but never told me why
Is there any way you can help me get a job expediting I am an ex felon is that a problem
I know this is a very old video and you’ve probably learned since then that you deal with the same issues in every form of trucking/transportation
If I ever honestly consider stop driving trucks in Europe and go to the US I would do expediting but that's just a thought.
Our favorite way to teuck
Hey guys 👋🏻 I was just at the largest truck stop the one one on i-80 in Iowa currently in Illinois by the Mississippi River, hope all is well this week
Doing well. Wow, welcome to the midwest! That is a nice truck stop to visit. Good to hear from you, safe travels.
What about fuel cost?
We go the speed limit and average around 9 mpg for the year. Using fuel cards we can get from FedEx do have discounts but when you drive for a fleet owner like Hyfield Trucking, the drivers do not pay for fuel.
Hello cool content. Just wondering what year were those loads ran in?
Currently 2019. The rates are still relevant with this FedEx Custom Critical. We have friends that still drive under their authority and are doing well.
ya'll r so sweet!! super proud of ya'll !!
Thank you
Derrick looks like you went to an airshow or fishing on the lake super sunburned. Great video thanks for bringing us along
Thanks for hanging out. Been a hot summer 😎
JD Vance is counting on you helping him and his BOSS with the quest for the White House! I think one of the BOSS’s popular statements is Drill Baby Drill which can only help the trucking industry as well as the entire USA economy!!🇺🇸
Just imagine how much more money we would have retained on fuel savings
First from US20 👊🏻💪🏻
Welcome back
Thanks What company do you recommend for insurance what are the minimum insurance requirements
If you are going to do hot shot. I recommend leasing onto Landstar. They also provide a an insurance company with a discount as well as a discount on fuel.
Hey "Road Warriors" just now seeing this one, I'll always be with you and your videos! Lots of laughter here. 😂 ❤❤ Have a great week ahead! Bless you both! ❤❤
God Bless you Sally. Good to hear from you, thanks for stopping by! Darrick
Hey Truck and Travel! We have a partnership proposal for you! Mind sending us a good contact email for us to follow up with? 😀
You now have competition as the greatest promoters of the great state of OHIO in Vice President Candidate JD Vance!!🇺🇸
👍😄🇺🇸
I hope you consider helping you fell Ohioan J.D. Vance and his boss! They could use your help!!🇺🇸
👍 agreed

Thank you
Thank you again for the valuable information! I hope all is well!🇺🇸
Thank you for still watching our videos.
Thank you for the videos!! I hope you guys get back on the road
Thank you Mark. You never know, Maybe one day we will. If we do it would most likely be expediting 👍
I’m an old boy trucker and I’ve been thinking about a cat. This job is lonely and I love dogs but cats seem like the perfect companion.
Truck will smell bad. Just a warning
What was the rough price of the truck you guys baught? I've been looking for a truck myself
When we got ours, we paid around 28k. Changed out the APU and added a axle for a additional 30k
What CDL do you need, I had a CDL-A but I dropped it because I fell out of love with LTL but I miss OTR and want to get into box truck with a sleeper
CDL A or B works
Nice couple Do I need a CDL to drive that truck?
Yes
@@TruckandTravel ok, once I got it, should I go to school too?
For sure@@alejandroradilla4271
You have to go to school just to get a CDL
I would have to say the same thing. I thought you quit driving. But it great you back and doing a great job on the break of mileage and etc. But what of that % of gross goes back to the driver?
We are not driving but since we are not we can share what we did for loads since we are not competing anymore for loads.
I thought you sold your truck and gave up trucking?
We are no longer driving. We are sharing our career week by week so people that are looking into what we did can have a rough idea what to expect. We couldn't give out our numbers and places before because some viewers are competition and could under bid us.
TV drops down and blocks shower/toilet door.
Minor detail to drive and live in a great truck
Not sure about where you are, in Australia the ratchets dont count as part of the load, so they can sit outside, not way out, but if they sit outside the trailer they are not considered part of the load... if the handle fell down and stuck out heaps, then thats a fine.... Australia has thousands of dollars in fines, its crazy.... I think the truckers are honking at your partner as she is very attractive, just saying
I have been learning so much from you both. I greatly appreciate you and all your videos.
Thank you Mark
We miss the craftys ;(((( 😢
that's to the truck what did u make after percentage.
You can take what the truck grosses and times it by 0.38 that is roughly what we get after fuel surcharge.
Beast.
Yeah it is
Why did you get out of trucking and sell your rig?
Wife's back wasn't doing well sitting down all the time and we wanted more home time.
ya'll are so sweet! glad to hear about U'r travels over the land! good luck ya'll..pray'n 4 yunz! keep on trucking!
Thank you!
Are you guys still driving.
No
I thought you two retired?
We did
Are you guys back at it? My wife and I will be coming over there in a couple of months. Good luck to ya.
How do you retire, and still drive loads?
We are not back, just going over all the loads we did. We never broke down the pay and gave out where to where.
Do u need to have a class b license or just a regular license! So are u 26,999? That's not counting for fuel ,tolls, or is this your truck or lease?
And how much is the pay for driver? Love that run, done all of those runs! And OTR!
You need a minimum of a CDL B and a team driver. It helps to have tanker and hazmat endorsements.
Good work..
Thank you
Are they looking for company solo drivers or teams ?
no
They are looking for team drivers. You would be a independent contractor.
Is that $4100 after they take their 40% split or before
All numbers we give is gross to the truck (before the 40%)
Anybody with a 1 ton pickup with diesal engine can hot shot up to 24000 lbs pull.
Unfortunately the freight we took couldn't be done by a hotshot.
@@TruckandTravelI did a box van like with outfit sub moved for fedex back in 2018; most loads i seen available only paid $100 max ; found real hard make good living driving your type rig; but glad you being blessed.
I drove 1 of these for a outfit forced to be team driver rent the rig; I only drive solo now
How was it?
@@winstonhill4891if I didn't have to just be subcontracted for fed it might been ok most loads only $25 to $100.
Looking to do this myself where would one find a fleet owner?
Hyfield Trucking 1-833-493-4353 Tell them Truck and Travel sent ya 👍
So did y’all buy your own rig and then lease to them? Or are you driving their equipment
At the beginning of our career we drove a fleet owners truck that was leased to FedEx Custom Critical.
look'n sharp ya'll ! great to hear the break down & stuff! ya'll are just plumb professional's! great to know all this! good luck out there & keep on trucking!
Wish you guys the best, u both lucky to have each other
Hello guys would you guys know why brokers would prefer to give a load to a dispatch company than to a carrier !??
What’s does the take home usually look like?
I will never ever EVER take that Snowshoe load again! 😂
Lol
Hi from beautiful warm..(finally) North Dakota! Always good to see your adventures. Pray you both are doing well! 😎🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🙋♀️
Thank you for all this information! I appreciate learning the nitty gritty of FedEx Custom Critical!🇺🇸
