To bad,is a little history and a waste on you tube,it was not a Dutch band, its a belgium lost child that had some luck, whit fooling and copying everything,in the 90,s!?stop the sjite slyde and londonbeat was better off with real work and music

Not a dutch and not a belgium band eighter.. loyd and Webster are both from the UK, jamaican blood and full brothers. As highly talented multi instrumentalist Slyde don Cher is from Guadaloupe. They had a fine home studio in Roosendaal and in Rotterdam. And yes, the demotapes produced with that gear were far better than the CD M.I.N.D. as the engineers of torso related shitheads fucked up the end mix. I know because I have listened almost ALL the tapes they made..Both Loyd and Webster are musicians songwriters with a huge legacy in the music scene as they have worked with many great and famous artist. Specially Webster who has toured the world with Matumbi and many other world class bands of that time. The time I spend with Loyd is precious to me. In the beginning as a rollerskate budy and later on as feedback assist and amateur bassplayer in the homestudio's tweaking midi and jamming old scool reggae tunes and also operating the sequencer backstage when on tour with SURKUS. As a graphic designer I worked together with Slyde on the graphics design sleeve for 12" EP Lectronic love bug. Slyde as a person is a complete different story. He is (was?) an amazing multitalented artist both musically and graphically as a person I know him as unpredictable but very intelligent and ultra creative person with a complete off the beaten track mind set. The music made by this trio is a mixture that has its roots waay back into the sixties. Jazz, reggae and Otis Redding kind a stuff has infuented these guys. I was with steve (slyde) when he practice jacco pastorius loops flinged into a DEP multiprocessor creating alian soundstages that were never heard before.. As a trio they explored london and dutch underground music streams that florished like jungle, Drum and bass, techno, hardcore, rap and housebeat even before that all got populair mainstream by the followers of today..These guys were far, far ahead of their time experimenting with many music styles that became mainstream in the years after. They did not made it because of a couple dickheads situated in the position to let bands engage with the big audience and professional distribution channels at that time. If they had the possibilities of internet channels as we we have today they would be a big name ... remind that they are from early 90-ties with internet and digital communications in its premature fase... They have my all time respect because I know how hard they have worked and how much efford they have put into the concept SURKUS and how many assholes they have met on their way to promote M.I.N.D to the the public stages all over Europe... SURKUS were true pioneers!!!

To correct this, I’ve spent over 3 years with them in theIr home studio, on tour and am still in touch with 2 of them today. Their sounds were created from scratch, unique in every sense of the word. Tracks like black bird and money grow are originals that paved the way for years after. When recorded, Slyde mixed it down as the music was intended, sounding immaculate The studio that mixed this down screwed them over. I overheard one saying to the other they would set the sound differently. They did not realise I could understand every word they were saying, mistaking me for Brittish. You may hold a grudge or whatever dispute you may have but that’s the truth I witnessed.

Marco Helmig, jealousy is a sickness, and stop the SJITE SLYDE , is in fact a compliment you r3t4rd LMAO SLYDE did! And still does (sec ago, loll you have the intelligeance to understand your own non-intelligeance ....And Belgium told Slyde from the day he arrived there, that he wasn't Belgian, no matter what I did.... I'm sure same thing in Britain land and every EU country , except your little LEGO land , their they don't say it, but some might think it, and say it when you're far gone, like your water head, you look like you could be twice Slyde's age, and you had an way easier life, and younger .... and what you mean with some luck ....LMAO , HE WAS LUCKY to ...have prodigy rip of his entire concept, as they were dancing like fairies on sampled already hit potential Reggae tracks ? That's why they fucked up SURKUS sound , as the other comment tells us, so that Prodigy could sail .... Your London Beat Webster called Slyde from London, when he heard the Fire starter and Poison rips and shouted that's your f ,,,, track nuhuh Slyde Table Turned ,, He had 100 versions of it and trusted Eric Van Eerdenburg with all of them, and as we were licensed to them and so was Prodigy for EU, they had close contact ... he gave the concept, SURKUS had at first the Mohawks , the Creepers , the hard distorted sounds witch sounded hard as F ... at the time ... Slyde got a tattoo from the date that f4gg0t hanged himself from Prodigy ... Three to go ! Eric Van Eerdenburg did it Two more times. Fat Boy Slim, And Junkie XL hit, was also Slyde's track, only he went behind his back and got Elvis's voice, instead of Slyde's manipulated own creation vocals from a Porn Bitch , who also betrayed him, but that he saw coming from a mile , also that black dog Amina Wijntje Horse abuser, well everything that sticks out and is in the right angle , she will mount , and they call Slyde sad , LMAO ... probably a Mason Whore ! That's why he's (ERIC VAN EERDENBURG)hiding , adres know ere to be found , Slyde is not going to go that route ... I hope

This is Blim here. I agree. It was the only remix I did with the original producer present. Bar One I did with Freq Nasty of one of his. Was definitely trying something different here. But it didn't really work as a dance tune. More a bit of an exercise in geekery.
