    if you have a big square as your landscape, how do you deal with the edges? if I wanted to surround a huge map in water (like in world of warcraft) how can I achieve this?

  • @CrowBiomes
    @CrowBiomes11 күн бұрын

    Multiple ways to go about it, you want an island as the shape in the case you want an ocean to surround it. Without an island, you can have a mountain range or other meshes around the map that blocks the view.

    End result looks very low resolution? and I really dont see 4k image would change much. And We only exported normal map and color map, what are we supposed to with all the other files? Can you complete rest of the tutorial? If you are calling it Beginner tutorial series, you really shouldnt leave half of the job and assume beginners can complete rest easily?

    that 30% discount for an upgrade is such a slap in the face. I waited forever for better unreal engine support, and they jsut tell me to buy 2.0 for "better support"... its what I get for supporting them in the first place.

    Dude the software and update is so cheap. Why are you crying? The second version is much faster than the first, that alone is a good enough reason to upgrade.

    I hope in 3rd or 4th version they use Generative AI techniques for experimental height-map node generation which is will yield incredible results how midjourney does it for their AI art.

    all i ever wanted in a new gaea is vector displacement so we coupd have overhangs with cliffs and caves, which is possible in terragen i think for quite some time now. Some of the new nodes are nice, but nothing groundbreaking to justify an upgrade for me. If you had gpu support and vector displacement i would have paid triple, for this? Pass

The amount of pain he's saved me and many others THOUSANDS OF HOURS by giving us the right means to try achieve a shape we desire landscape wise. Truly a great guy, straight to the point fast paced video's with concise information. **You should make a membership option** so people like myself can support you for all the time and work you save us

    hi, thanks for the great tutorial. i got the first method using pontoons to work, but the second method (material magic) does not work for me. the blueprint graph looks exactly the same as yours but when I apply the material to my plants and enable physics and gravity, they just immediately sink. the same thing happens when i try the material method on a cube or sphere. i tried playing around with the mass value and set it to something very low like 0.0001 like some comments suggested, but it has no effect, everything just immediately sinks when i try the material method :( please help

    If anyone in the future sees this and is having trouble getting the colors to combine at the end, when he says change the FX at the end to ColorFX, DO SO. And do it not only to the one he said to do it on, but also to the end of every one of those nodes in the color category
