I may travel the backroads some days capturing images from the road or I may be deep in the woodlands. Most outings are weather dependant on what or where I will be.
One thing you can be sure of is seeing some Iowa beauty.

Those storms even made the news here in Canada! Lots of damage can certainly occur in a very short period of time. Not looking forward much to hurricane season as it is being predicted to be a busy season. Those downed trees do provide a great environment for a nice harvest though. Enjoy!! Do you eat them fresh or dry them? Pretty awesome stuff!

A lovely drive with the beautiful sunrise and wonderful hike with JJ in the Mann wilderness area. Great to find the golden mushrooms. I have see very few mushrooms so far this spring in the local woodlands where I take my regular hikes. I enjoyed in full to the end. Thank you, my friend. 24:15

Well that deer wasn’t phased by JJ! 😃 luckily JJ didn’t see him 🤣 Noisy Canadians 😅 Gosh I remember that Sunflower field and the deer. You're putting me to shame Duane Must be up very early to see these beautiful Sunrises. Wow, never seen anything like those Golden Mushrooms!! Some of those trees looked pretty dodgy! 😃😃😃😃 Loved that gorgeous photo at 15:04 - perfect light!! I am sure you are seeing way more sunsets than I have as of late. Yes some of those trees were dodgy. The mushrooms were great and I dehydrated most of them so we can use when needed. It is a pretty woodland. Thanks Dave you and Sue have a great week.

I really did enjoy that sunrise. It kinda snuck up on me and I got a late start but made the best of it. JJ always listens to what is said. It is always about him if it is or not lol. The rivers are full and for the 1st time in 4 years Iowa has no drought conditions. Thanks again Dave. You and Sue have a great week ahead too.

Love the low lying mist and rising sunlight. Wonderful so see all the spring greenery by the river and some blossoms. An awesome view at 4:00 with the rising sun over the bridge and reflections on the river. Lots of leaves, plants and flowers here in the woods but still haven't seen any mushrooms yet. Hey Duane. Big respect for you getting up so early - I’m struggling at the moment. Just arrived back from Scotland so catching up with everything. Beautiful Sunrise through the woods and across the water. We certainly don’t have a drought here this Spring. It’s been dreadful. More floods than I can ever remember! Beautiful creek and landscape there at Mallory Park. I’m always very wary about mushrooms - always worried about being logged off permanently!! But when you know what you’re doing they’re delicious/ those Morell mushrooms look amazing!! A very atmospheric morning out there mate. Have a great weekend Duane.
Hey Dave, you and Sue have had some wonderful travels and have seen some great places. I am not a muchroom expert but know Morels and have a future video where I photograph and collect some golden oyster mushrooms. Those are easy to find due to their color. Have a great week ahead.
Such wonderful early morning light! As many times as we have been heading down to the river, Otis will occasionally make a left when he should be making a right! lol Such a marvelous sound with the river in the background. My goodness, you did find some morels...excellent...lunch here we come!! Hope your weekend is great!!

From a distance, it looked like you were going to head straight into the side of that train!! What a wonderful location along the river. More bluebells...marvelous!! I think the closest we have are the Forget-me-nots. Wonderful times!!

That sun is sure a beauty of a sight!! A few wildflowers here and there, but there are some buds on the trees and ferns are being to pop! Some lovely views along the river. Doesn't take long for some beautiful trees to meet their match with a beaver. Another great day to be out and about!!

Great signs of a marvelous spring! You'll have to pardon those two loud Canadians! We're not all like that! LOL Those bluebells are certainly an amazing sight!! Always enjoy a rail-to-trail as it makes a really nice hike on level territory! Just lovely!!
I love a rail trail too. It is a long hike to see the bluebells but well worth the effort. Yeah those Canadians, always yacking lol. I like geese. JJ did not know what to think of them. the deer crap was a bonus lol. Have a great week you two.

Love this Duane. So many gorgeous images and film captures. Love that river roaring. You've had some crazy temperature swings!! Scary really. We have just had rain, rain and more rain. Wettest February on record here and March not much better! You know I'm a sucker for Sunrise reflections, so the trees on the lake at Sunrise is my absolute favourite. Wonderful views of the geese during the spring migration of 2014. I miss them as well. We had awesome migrations of the waterfowl when I lived in Alberta (but not here in Nova Scotia). I remember going to one lake in the fall in Alberta and the whole lake wave covered with waterfowl, hundreds if not over a thousand birds. Thank you, my friend.
