    What if you are trying to build a model (Flexible) that should have the flexibility to add optimization later on? Then, if you use AnyLogic's built-in optimization experiment, you will need your parameters (for optimization) to be defined in the top-level agent (main). Would using a custom optimization experiment allow to overcome this top-level agent requirement?

  • @noorjaxconsulting5209
    @noorjaxconsulting52093 ай бұрын

    we often use custom Experiments for our optimization work since that overcomes the limitations of the optimization experiment features, such as the one you point out

    I dont think it works well. The Best approach will be to open a competitive buisness in the middle of an empty area between all other competitors. Opening in the same place of the competitor will make you lose half of your clients and make them lose half of the clients.

  • @noorjaxconsulting5209

    @@noorjaxconsulting5209 how does it maximise profit to put a buisness next to the other, you lose all far away people and you share your clients with other businesses next to you. Putting it like I suggested gives you 100 percent of clients in your area. I think it's the worst location to put a new buisness.

    hello, in the "additional scale" section, have I consider only the new Forearm distance? what about the reach of the robot I'm using as example? (Epson C8-A1401S) the reach is 1400mm and the forearm has only 650mm

    Cool beans, thx again for sharing. If you mark the Robot agent as "use as library object" before exporting into a library, you also get rid of the (useless and confusing) agent options such as "population of agents" and "Initial location"... You need to enable "Library developer mode" first in the AnyLogic options

    This is very useful and it’s something I was looking for, for a while. I have been using Simio for the past 6 years (part time only) and I’ve just started a full time simulation job and will be using Flexsim. My previous company switched to Plant simulation and started gradually migrating from Simio to Plantsim. I also got excited about Anylogic hearing that you can do all 3 types of simulation in one platform. So, i was looking for a comparison between these four exact software tools and I am glad i found your podcast. Please do more of these in the near future. I loved it!

    Much interesting, thanks a lot! Please share more content like this one!! I'm currently working to improve my simulation capabilities with Anylogic, although I had my first contact with simulation tools like 20 years ago (Simul8 & Witness), and understanding the strong and weak points of each solution out there, really helps. By the way, right now I have a significant experience with Dassault's DELMIA Factory Flow Simulation tool from a proffesional stand point (my main tool on a daily basis), and you should definitely take a look on that one too, as it's growing fast, and it's very suited for the automotive and aerospace industries when simulating manufacturing processes. ThX again!
