    I straight loled with the "devalue" conversation. Mike: "i'm worried an LS3 swap will devalue for resale" Me- in my head: *yeah for sure. I see a C6Z with an LS3 and I hard pass* Isaac: "so you're not worried that 100k hard track miles and a roll cage WON'T devalue it?" Me: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    As an LS7 owner who was scared to even drive to the grocery store until I got the heads "fixed", thanks for making this. There's a lot of back and forth out there and yeah, a TON of people (including Tadge at one point, I do believe) say as long as you keep it stock, you've got nothing to worry about. Haven't looked at the rest of your channel yet, but looking forward to going through it to see what build you decided on. I'm hoping to see an LSX!

    It's crazy to me that people are judging brands by historical ethos and brands are undervalued or overvalued based on that instead of actual performance. Hyundai, for example is still thought of as a cheap brand and people think my 2023 Elantra N is going to blow up any day but Honda will run flawlessly forever even though Honda is 15th in reliability and Hyundai is 10th in today's world. Every option has flaws and strengths and an enthusiast has to do their due diligence to learn about and maintain their cars. The LS7 is amazing, but an owner has to know what to do with it and take action or they will end up with expensive repairs and issues instead of a Porsche killing machine.

    Sorry to break the news to you but 270 degrees is to hot in more ways than one, rings are junk at 260! You have issues if you are running them temps. We have beat on dirt track cars in the summer heat for many laps and if they get over 220 in the worst conditions I would think that something is wrong. I also believe that there is a valve geometry problem with these engines and not necessarily a problem with the valves their selves.

    Why did yall leave a huge gap between the load and the forklift mast, both times? If you're worried about it tipping, don't leave such a huge gap.

  • @Rimrock300
    @Rimrock30029 күн бұрын

    It's not about someone 'leaving a gap'...it comes naturall due to deflection of the forks and geometry of the forklift tower. The gap does not matter in practical.

  • @JTMarlin8
    @JTMarlin823 күн бұрын

    @@Rimrock300 It's called a mast, not a tower. And yes, the gap absolutely matters as it changes the CG. Clearly you've never driven a forklift before.

    You guys simply don't freaking understand what is going on here. There is NO issue in this motor... zero.. you drop a valve you failed to maintain it. PERIOD... the maintenance is... 20,000 you take the freaking heads out replace all the guides. It's a RACE MOTOR. PERIOD.. want the motor.. pay to play. Don't want it? drop a junkyard 5.3 and call it a day.

    What i discovered was "from the factory" the air filter was not installed properly. There is a wrong Way to install the filter. The wrong way allows the dust in . I notice at my exhaust tips there was dirt, dusty small pepples and grit. Thinking it was coming from the road. Its not . Check it out. The dust and dirt is sandblasting your intake valves on the way in, and exhaust on the way out.

    Im a GM guy. Love my Duramax. But I had to shell out $6000 Cad to have my Z06 heads done, to which is a factory flaw/recall issue. Everyone knows the exhaust valves are running on guide time failure, and LS7 grenade. GM disgrace!

    Tadge led the z06 astray. Tadge turned the Z06 into a heavy GT cruiser. GM has no clue what iteration means and keeps trying to reinvent the wheel with every model. The C8 Z should have a modernized LS7 and 500 less pounds. The LS is GMs identity. Not the Ferrari wannabe LT6.
