Over 850 yrds is impressive for caliber since the bullet is travelling over 1s at that range.

In the 70's I was a jr competitive marksman. We were trained in firearm safety by some of the best. I remember watching a film where a 22lr went through seven 1" boards. The warning included that a 22lr can travel up to 1-1/2 miles. These are serious. Also, though LE standard issue was the 38, it was replaced with the 9mm cuz the 9mm holds more rounds, and has more ability to pass through a car door where a 38 only held 6 rounds and did not penetrate as well. By now the bad guys were better armed so it was time to get up to par. But for home defence a 22 is still way better than nothing, and it helps keep your neighbors a little safer too.

June, 2024. Yep that Same scope is still being sold. And it's still under $400 US. And it still has No negative reviews. There are a few more variants then 8 years ago. It's not a trash scope, And has over many years has universal positive reviews. Probably the best starter scope you could get. And its very rugged.

Years ago I got the SWFA 20x42 for $300 US. I used it to train numerous pupils on the beginning s of scope use. Can't say enough good about it. The best next Best scope, is Nightforce but at a thousand dollars more. That us the "Benchrest."

All well and good as long as accuracy is considered. All the power in the world is useless if you don't hit what you're aiming at. I've personally experienced anywhere from 1" to 5"+ groups with various .22 rimfire ammunition at 100 yards with a good quality sporting rifle. Anything in the high end of group sizes will probably leave you hungry with small game hunting.

Subsonic bullets are proven to be more accurate than high velocity rounds, therefore 1200 fps is more stable than higher volicities

Had mine almost 13 years, the pliers were sticking due to the wire cutters all chewed up just like yours and the pliers would no longer work as the internal mechanism was all twisted. Sent them off and within a week or so got a brand new one! Very happy with the service

I was about to buy the WOA 18" SPR intermediate, then I saw WC offers a 16" Intermediate barrel (1:8 twist, whereas WOA is 1:7) How do you think the two barrels would match up? I plan on shooting 62-77gr match ammo Thanks

Have you tried a ‘captured spring’ for the Walther ? They say that it helps with reliability. It also makes reassembly much easier.

I bought a used ar15 with a 5.56/223 lower. I’m new so I attempted to shoot a 556 round d out of it and it did not work well. Trying g to figure out what upper and barrel I have. There are no marking on the barrel aside from SS310? Any tips or advice would be appreciated

It may be burning the powder at 16 in or so which means you have two and a half inches of bullet dragged out of the 18.5 and more out of the longer barrel that depends on rifling style 2
