Ok sorry to bother you again, but this is really one of the best recordings of this kit on youtube. How do you tune your toms? Do you tune the reso head higher than the batter head? And also, which mics are you using on the toms?
@JopeCmes2 жыл бұрын
Not botheting at all dude! Thanks for the compliment, i must say i’m pretty amazed even myself 😄 i really do regret that i didn’t memorize this particular tuning for my tunebot, but at least i remember that batter head was tuned lower than reso head. I use samson Qtom mics and C2 overheads, they are cheap but do the job very well for my purposes.

Your kit sounds amazing, just received mine yesterday. Are you tuning the Reso heads a bit higher than the batter heads? I would really love my kit to sound like yours does
@JopeCmes2 жыл бұрын
Thanks and gratz mate! I nearly always have bottom heads tuned at least a minor third higher than batter head. I really should have taken these tunings up with my tunebot, can’t remember this one anymore! Definetly one of the best tunings i have done with these, but i constantly experiment with new tunings and head combos because of multiple styles of projects and styles, so i easily forget how i tuned to specific one 😅

@@escadrums2 so glad to hear that bro! ”Rumble” is really accyrate term when it comes to these drums. I love especially the 16” tom! When i become rich i’ll definetly get 18” tom as well 😂

Seriously having a hard time picking which to go with my emperor crashes (17/18/20). I want good definition and decent crash...any recommendations?
@JopeCmes2 жыл бұрын
With your preferences, I’d say your choice is between Emperor and Sparks. XTT has nice crash but lower definition, and PRKL has all the definition in the world but definetly no crash. Between Emperor and Sparks, I’d take Sparks: very brilliant definition combined with smooth and beautyful crash. Emperor has also good definition, but has a tad bit more heavy feel to it, so if you play mostly only heavy stuff and need some raw cut with your ride’s crash, I’d go for Emperor.
