Head towards Gunnison, then when you get to the city turn right as if you're going towards Almont and Crested Butte, there are dirt roads you can take and drive. If you pull up google maps there are lakes you hike a mile to that have plenty of them. Same if you're in the Northern Colorado area between Colorado and Wyoming as if you're going towards Saratoga.
