Runway 07R, or the South Runway. HKG (Chek Lap Kok Airport) was built with two runways, but at the time of filming the North Runway (07L/25R) was closed due to reclamation works for the third runway, pushing all traffic to the South Runway. Easterly winds facilitated landing from this side. This spot is, and will continue to be, the only runway end accessible by public transport (plus some walking). Flights were greatly reduced due to the pandemic, and I could only catch 33 landings in 2.5 hours - on normal days this would be the count for one hour. The airport used to handle around 1200 movements per day in busy months.
