Wow! Didn’t expect to hear him talk about education and Rockefeller. I just gained a whole other respect for Mike. RIP to a real truth-speaker.

It’s like he says, nasa can send men to the moon.so bodybuilding should have been perfected by now.but it isn’t,it’s full of blind statements that conflict each other

I feel sorry for Mike. He needed some guidance. Lost his way in the end. I’d have loved to have been his pal and steered him away from the dark path

Stimulating muscle growth is about full intense muscular contraction and the only way to achieve a full muscular contraction is in the fully contracted position. - Mentzer

Oh so this is why *_they_* ensure he is ridiculed and called a hack. Now it makes sense, although ironically these days some portion of the population sees the truth.

Mike would be disgusted at what the US is like today, and what the world is like today . In fact I think the sadness that afflicted him towards the end of his life was the realization of these things.

ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT even then some people realised what was going on, but most of the slaves never woke up and now it’s 2024 clown world, will the majority of people see the truth or will we forever be enslaved by the elites ?!!!!

At the 43:00 mark he goes onto the subject of steroids. Mike believes in objective truths for everything whether we know them or not. Today we have all the evidence that steroids shorten life spans. It’s not a matter of debate anymore. If a long life is objectively good then “enhanced” body building according to Mike is bad.

Mike didnt invent this ...i ordered a program way back in 1978 from universal body building called the tri power contraction system and it advocated doing one set followed by a pump set..i was a sceptic but it really worked big time

Even though my body is destroyed on rest day two, I feel guilty. Three days of rest is mental anguish, all-the-while my body still feels like I got hit with a Mack truck. It's just as much (if not more) of a mental game, to break out of the, "more is more" philosophy.

The way Mike talks when goes into teaching mode is very well intended, he uses plenty of breaks in one sentence that makes you eager and kinda hypnotized to really hear and understand what's coming next!

Listening to Mike Mentzer is like listening to the waves rolling in at a private beach on a tropical island. Great voice, intellectual, logical, simple, precise to the point, well articulated, serious but also fun, very powerful. A true messenger!

I was going 18 sets 3 times a week. I followed Mentzer’s advice and clawed back to 8 sets once a week. (Including two warmup sets). Im gaining the same or more with a fraction of the exercise. I progress every week. Half of my t-shirts are too small for me now and this week I’m throwing out two sweaters and a dinner jacket because I can’t close the button!

Biggest whiner crybaby that ever competed. I've seen all the photos from the 1980 and Arnold won the 1980 Olympia. In 1981 the judging was off. Tom Platz of the other little Italian guy that was competing that year should have been 1st and second. Franco was about 5th that year
