As per Pt. Kumar Prasad Mukherjee, the renowned musicologist from Kolkata, the total 'gayaki' of Ustad Amir Khan sahib was based on Ustad Abdul Waheed Khan sahib's style. Not only the 'vistaar', Amir Khan sahib's 'taan' and 'sargam' were also mostly influenced by Abdul Waheed's technique. As per Mr. Mukherjee, Ustad Rajab Ali Khan sahib's 'taan' and Aman Ali's 'sargam' are less similar to Amir Khan sahib's 'taan' and 'sargam' rather than Abdul Waheed Khan's.

This film reminds me of suffering. Suffering that can not be overcome without renunciation and letting go. Something I liked after this song is that the guy admits that as a man his first duty was to marry her and give her honor of a wife, mother, and give her home. But he was lost in his own fascinations of making her a show piece for the world. At the end though I feel whichever way one goes, Maaya still exist. The other way it may be less intense and may be a more noble looking one and more on righteous path. But either way, at the end suffering alone helps in transcendence and self realization whichever way you go. May be on a cleaner road, you are rubbed a little less than on the road that isn't very clean but one will be rubbed for certain on both paths to renounce ego. Intensity alone will vary.
