If you do IT work that requires disassembly than a fishing tackle box is a requirement to keep your ever growing collection of short cables and large selection of miscellaneous screws. Personally, I also glue a magnet to the bottom of each compartment to keep the screws in one area. It's always that one lost screw that takes forever to find, until it hits the vacuum cleaner.

Good example of how NOT to do it. As mentioned below, suck the solder off with a de soldering vacuum tool. Real easy to do and prevents overheating the board. In this example you still need to clear the holes with more heat. The de-soldering tool will clean the holes with one pass.

Great video. I found a loose rectangular magnet under the bezel at the top. I don't see where it goes. Also found a strange flanged screw (same length as the 4 display screws) after pulling bezel completely off. there is some plastic material on the threads. must have broke free. Can you help? thanks, john.

Well done on this tutorial. Clear and concise, you didn't assume everyone has a certain level of knowledge. I really appreciate that you repeat things that can lead to problems. Also mentioning that other models/versions don't have the same layout as this one. Another thing I appreciate is that you didn't fast forward (so far). Now for the request: Could you please provide me with a list of the tools that I will need to get started doing this exact same repair? Got a couple of this model IPads for nothing and they work but need new glass. Thanks for the great video. I will be watching more for sure.

I was worried about replacing my high-end older oasis with this one kzread.infoUgkxCgPI5O2AtmcHq9SJhgsCGbpAzJAJfrJp but it is surprisingly light and the screen resolution is just as good. I never had the warm light on my old kindle, but i do not use it on the ipad so I will probably not need it. I think the only thing I'll miss is the self-adjusting light, but this is so worth it!

I have mistakenly broken my laptops charging port. Model name: asusx560u. I talked to a service centre and they told me its not repairearable. Because it is connected to motherboard directly. Sir, can u please tell me is it repairable or not.?

I know this is 6 months late but if you're trying to do this now try getting a cheaper third-party vr head-set. They are often more adjustable and more comfortable.

What are the red and blue cables to the right. I have red and black cables there. I think I destroyed them while taking the battery off. Seems to be cables to the speaker.

absolut stupidity. u did not mix solder on pins, u just tin contacts on it, because use of bad tip. your use of low melt solder is useless. this connector can be replaced without use of low melt solder

Great video, but at the end, it looks like the screen is not water tight now and no new glue was added to the screen edge, i would think this is not the best plan.... this repair will fix the charging port, some issues with overheating when chargining if battery is good, and will make data transfer work good and faster, charging will be factory speed again fast, and comes with a new microphone if you have microphone issues. Excellent video 10/10

Thank you so much for your help. Its pretty straight forward, but I learned something new from your video. By putting solder on the tip it won't get the board hot. And fry your circuit.
