You'll have to use a really old Obdlink LX. Mine is 5 years old
But it's way faster with the VX and Windows, so I'd recommend you just go the Windows route. The tuning software is also Windows so it simplifies the process

@@tatted_dad7827 I don't know if an input shaft exists for your tcase that would fit a ZF6. But you could either go nv 5spd or Corvette T56 6spd with the adapter.

@@nickle549 yup, I got every single one working. The low oil light is backwards right now so I've gotta wire in a relay to reverse the function, but it all works nice

Hey man I recently scored me a 93 Chevy berreta but I’m having a hard time finding out what manual transmissions will fit in it so I thought I’d find a KZreadr who has worked on em and see if I can hopefully score some advice and also since you’ve got experience working on them do you think you would be able to give a rough estimate as to what a manual swap on a berreta would cost at a reputable shop, I know I’m asking a lot but from one car guy to another I’m here seeking you’re help

The Beretta needs exhaust valves. You’d be able to go from “stock” to straight piped.

What wires do I move on a blue and green 2006 harness
To run a Camaro tune you'd have to convert to the DBC style I'd assume. I'm actually doing a video soon with my L33 harness making it DBC
@@GEARHEADdezign I seen how to do the DBC conversion but what about the t56 is the 05 pcm able to work with a t56 wiring or does it only work with 99-02 styles
@@JoeRon-uj5jm not that I'm aware of. I used the Camaro OS to be sure it worked. There's only a few wires to switch around to convert a 03+ harness to work with 99-02 PCM

If the SBC bell is for 12" clutch with 168 with flywheel then yes

Cool story, I had an 86 Fiero that I bought for $400 when I graduated high school in 2008, me and my dad completely rebuilt the car from the ground up, replacing pretty much everything all the way down to cutting rusty sections out of the frame and fabbing and welding in new parts. After a couple motors and transmissions I ended up finding a 98 Camaro in a junkyard someone rolled so the engine was pristine, threw that in, and then got a transmission from the Beretta GT. Best thing we could fit in cuz it's side mount. That thing was a rocket go kart. I ended up hitting a telephone pole late one night doing 80 and that was the end of the mini Ferrari as one of my ex gfs liked to call it. I miss that car. It was a lot of fun.

I'm planning to get v6 standard silverado, single cab and put that 5.3 in it. I've heard thevtrans will hold. Should I put a dual disc in it. Got any info I may need ?
Yeah the NV will bolt right up with 4.8 clutch and flywheel. If you want to make huge power that requires a dual disc, I'd find a different transmission. But a typical 5.3 will be fine if you don't hammer on it too bad.
@GEARHEADdezign right on thanks bud. I mentioned the dual disc since I driver a nv5600 cummins. But it's diesel so the torque is different for sure

Not to my knowledge. AFM wasn't an option on the 99-06

I have a 1998 C1500 4.3L with a NV3500. I need to replace the clutch (all components). It appears the transmission can be separated from the bell housing, am I correct? Or, should I drop the transmission and bell housing as one unit? Any info on how tall the bell housing is? Kinda worried about being able to get the truck up in the air enough to have enough clearance to get it from under the truck? Thanks for any info.
I don't think that year nv3500 had a bell housing, it's all one piece, so you don't have an option.
Height is just standard SBC bell height
