100% Facts! I've been using gorilla all weather duct tape for some time now. I don't run 6s unfortunately 😢😂 but can say I've done this on cheap tires with a few of my high speed 3s setups and it's always done me right! Never once has a tire ballooned badly or ripped apart. I do like your technique for doing the install though. Gonna have to try this out. Looks much easier then my method

What did you do about the remote wire on the line out converter

This particular line output converter I used and have linked in the description does not have or need a remote wire. It has 4 wires, 2 pos and 2 neg. As you can see, I wired the 2 pos together, and the 2 neg together and then wired in line with the speaker. Thats it. Then run your patch cables from the converter to the amp. No remote wire.

I flipped the rear post mount upside down as well as the posts. No extra parts needed.
New sub here! Great content ….im not much of a basher but have a few larger scale rigs…..considering an Xmaxx at some point.. I had a kraton 8s but didn’t really care for it….. I have a spare Max5 esc and motor I could use in a Xmaxx…😊

I ran a max5 esc in my scx6…smaller can tho…. Absolute beast on 6s ….never taxed the esc at all… I eventually took the max5 out and used a monster mamba X with a castle 1717 -1650kv…..just performed better all around on 6s …. Used the max5 for another project … I think the max5 is perfect for the 1/5 scale rigs…

Yeah its been amazing in the xmaxx, 10s and 12s is all I run it on. But its got upgraded hardened diffs and mod1.5 pinion/spur. If not itll blow the diffs and monster threw pinion/spur's. But with the upgrades its been bashed super duper hard for a long time and they have held up flawlessly.

As an update. This is still working perfectly after Skateparks and crazy bashing beyond what normal people do 6 months later. Not a scratch on the pinion or spur. MOD1.5 with no cush drive FTW. Don't let anyone tell you different!! This mod works very well. No need for a cush drive at all. Waste of time and money and when it gets loose itll randomly mess up your mesh and destroy your gears pointlessly.

@Simon Kuskye You can also get a through - bolt kit that goes to the front 2 holes on the spur gear cover. You drill down through the bottom of the bulkhead and then install these bolts and washers, so there can be no flex or stripped holes there. PNWrcmadness, and I think probably a couple other outfits sell that bolt kit.

Thanks man, so Channel 1 steering, Channel 2 and Channel 3 throttle, plug one esc per channel. I use a Radiolink Rc6gs radio and R7fg rx. Then go into the radio and you can program the channels to do what you want in this or any computerized radio.
