Putting water in the risotto because theres no stock is criminal. You have to just cut the shit and announce it to the head chef at that moment. That rice would taste of absolutely nothing.

In an environment like this, you should match the standard of whatever your boss is setting, regardless of whether you believe it's right or wrong. Even if Andrew was right, he was wrong to do something his chef clearly wouldn't want served in his kitchen. I'm sure there are many establishments where if he threw away soupy potatoes rather than trying to save them and spread them out, to be cost effective; he'd get yelled at. Hells Kitchen isn't an environment to teach, it's an environment to learn. The fact Andrew didn't even ask the chef if it was okay, and whether or not he was allowed to mix the mashes, is a testament to his ego.

This always felt weird,, they barely ever showed Andrew on the line during the two services he was there and then out of nowhere this happens,, I think Andrew did this deliberately to set him off and he didnt look one bit pi33ed he was kicked off. I think he hated Ramsey by all accounts and he even said the food wasnt even that good they were serving which was edited in, they tried to edit it to make him sound clueless but I dont he was. I genuinely think he could cook but decided this show wasnt for him and fine dining was to much hassle to bother with. It really is just a bunch of wannabee upper class idiots and fat clueless rich toffs dining at these places.

Aronofsky first approached Mickey about the Wrestler in 1998. It took them 10 years to make it and release it, after developing the script, fighting to get Mickey approved, replacing him with Nicolas Cage, who then stepped away when it was clear that Mickey was going to be able to do it after all. There is an interview from way back then where Mickey talks about being tapped for the project and how he knows he could knock it out of the park. I can't imagine what would have happened if The Wrestler had come out nine or ten years earlier. I'm not sure Mickey had matured enough to see it through and get the same amazing results, do the same outstanding acting that he did, give us that much vulnerability. They say everything happens in its right time. With The Wrestler, I believe it.
