But get the camera down around waist level and that beady little rodent will again peer out over their upper lip. There are workarounds like having the subject lean forward at the waist more than the camera is pointing up when wanting the ceiling instead of the floor in the background. To the camera they will appear to be sitting upright. 😊

I think that’s a fair criticism of my complaints about the menu. But the majority of my issues with this gimbal have nothing to do with the menu. Most of them are about how the ergonomics, the levers and knobs, are really poorly laid out. And how the placement of the roll motor prevents you from balancing even medium sized lenses. The reason the brought up the DJI RS3 Mini at the end of the video was because it legitimately seems like a more useful gimbal for the money.

After using it for three months, the Cobra3 180PF base I purchased has become stuck and cannot be removed. The manufacturer refuses to repair it. The problem with holding a camera at waist level when shooting people is that the camera looks up their noses. All things considered the view is far more flattering when the camera looks down from slightly above subject eye level where the flare of the nostrils hides the nose holes. Once you become aware of this the nostrils visible from a low POW will seem like a second set of pupils from some beady-eyed rodent perched on the upper lip. You will also begin to notice why most actors other than character actors usually have aquiline noses where the tip of the nose hangs down below the nostrils hiding them from the lens of the camera at their eye level. But get the camera down around waist level and that beady little rodent will again peer out over their upper lip. There are workarounds like having the subject lean forward at the waist more than the camera is pointing up when wanting the ceiling instead of the floor in the background.
