El antiguo estilo español , cuando en España se domaban caballos ...ahora es circo ...

The horse is NOT being forced into a frame. He's being ridden with a fairly loose rein which is a lesson to all of us! His pirouettes are being performed pretty much on the spot and his steps are defined. The rider and horse appear to be having fun and are relaxed. Although the judges are going to be "biased" he deserves to have a very high score.

We rode and hung out with Amy through her teen years. Traveled to Ram Tap with her twice. My wife and I were like second parents. She rode my novice horse for me and we won area seven invite horse of the year. The good old days of spending all our money on eventing and horses. Miss Amy think of her often.

As the comentators say this is what dressage should be about also, having fun, feeling good, not only being obsessed with the technical part,it turns into greatness when you fuse technique, enjoyment and art like this, lets express more ourselves as we feel in the moment and not go by what we are expected to do. Lets live and express our art!

Glorious! Invasor is pure passion and magical. Wish the commentators would shut up, so annoying with their non stop talking. I would love to have been able to watch without inane chatter.

...I just caught this the 1,568th time or so I have watched this video, but, they say Poggi was purchased as an ex racehorse for "$2,000"? However, To MY KNOWLEDGE- having not only trained under a lifelong friend of Amy's, ride WITH AMY at her barn & known Poggi personally as well- I'm pretty sure he was ACTUALLY purchased as (yes, an OTTTB/Ex Racehorse) while living amongst a herd of COWS in an obscure town in Eastern Washington State (Amy lived& trained in Western WA, as do I) but everything I've ever heard was that he was actually purchased for far LESS than that "WHOPPING $2K!" I'm almost certain Poggi was only $500.... 1/4 Of this supposed "$2,000" they announce on here!? Either way though- $2,000 or $500- and an OTTTB- Compared to about >99% of elite event horses TODAY- the vast majority of which are syndicated and owned by companies and multiple shareholder rather than being owned by just another person, let alone THEIR ACTUAL RIDER and are purchased as 3 and 4yos for easily 6-figures like upper level pure showjump & dressage horses used to be- Poggi's background and purchase price, along with the fact that he was and still IS retired& happily OWNED by Amy's husband, Greg, is a remarkable story & one for the Olympic record books, for sure!!! ♡♡♡ Poggi & RIP Amy!!!

....and to think, Poggi was just an OTTTB cow pony they found on a ranch in eastern Washington for $500.... turned into a cc14****, World Games & Multiple-Time US Olympic team member. You dont hear stories like that much anymore in this generation of eventing.... Amy could turn <$2,000 4yo OTTTBs who'd never been ridden by anyone but a jockey on the track into in CONFIDENT, WINNING CC12** Eventers in just a couple SEASONS. She wasnt always the "warmest or fuzziest" person, lol, but she LOVED her horses, her job, her life with them- she was so devoted & so talented. It was amazing to watch her compete on youngsters at lower levels at our local Area VII Events and at world class 4*s alike... I feel so honored to have known her in person. There will never be another Amy Tryon- she was 1 of a kind- and will be forever mourned & missed by us humans as well as all of the horses (and doggies!) She touched in her life... miss you so much, Amy! ♡♡♡

Amy was such a talented rider- she gave even the greenest horses confidence to jump clean & beautifully just by putting them at the perfect distance at the perfect striding, pace, angle& amount of impulsion. And every time she was on our team at our local Area VII events, of COURSE she's always helped us WIN!!! HA. THANK YOU AMY, I SAW POGGI ABOUT 16MONTHS AGO& HE STILL LOOKS GREAT!!😉

Well... I just have one thing to say. Ringwood Cockatoo was one of my favorite 3 Day Eventers back in the day... and looking back, I follow show jumping now more than I do 3 Day Eventing, and these 3 Day Horses... it's a little rough for me to watch them show jumping! They show jump like they jump XC and it's not the prettiest thing in the world lol.
