I was so relieved when I watched this video . I needed to get the version from yesterday. But I had worked on it today about seven times before closing the project . then I went into the project and it doesn’t have any of the backups from yesterday… Is there a way to go in deeper and find the backups from yesterday even if they’re not displayed and Ableton when I drop down the window for the project?

I almost guarantee it has something to do with rosetta that is causing the problems when it comes to streaming on twitch. Apple will probably end rosetta support after M4 though I'm willing to bet.

Thanks for the tip! I'm not sure how the ppl at Ableton consider that "consolidating". It's more like extracting.

47:30 - literally the first idea I had when I heard about the similar sounds thing! Been using ultimate vocal remover to stem out drums and then use those stems to search for similar sounds. or you Also can use shaper box to extract drums from songs since usually things are sidechained so there's usually enough of the dum to use for the "similar sounds" search.

This is Carter's biggest fan. We don't see each other very often, buy I listen to his music almost daily on average. There's nothing like driving home from work listening to some chill sounds created by your own kid. The only thing equivalent is the day he and his siblings were born.... each of them.

I think the thing he mentioned about having a goal in mind def helps you finish music for sure! Love this interview. Played around with operator and some dynamic tube right after this interview and got great results. I really wanna now how he made those basses from his Song CUBE. So disgustingly good lol.

I have 3 virtual cables, plus other unused devices like my monitor which in affect are the same. The problem is that I want to use this Live on Twitch. I also have an external Focusrite as my primary device for external guitar/drums whatever... I like to play along with backing tracks. I can do this with just OBS alone using v-cables and assigning the specif app, whiether browser, a game or whatever to that cable right in windows advanced settings. Now, add a DAW to the mix... I cant change the default device in the DAW because it wont capture the inputs on my external DAC. I may or may not be recording, often this might be just for looping or live streams. I am surprised if OBS can do this stuff natively why an actual DAW cant. So step one, I need to get this doing what I want into the DAW. There are lots of videos on sending master tracks to OBS so I think that is another step.

Golden tutorial!! It works! For the people using an external audio card, you should change the output from Realtek to that one. In my case, I had to choose Focusrite USB audio and also check "Hardware Buffer" option. No idea what it does, but without it I could hear no sound.

Would be great if you guys do a video of how these features translate to the Push. I hear many features won't be available on the Push 3 which has many implications for the standalone Push 3 users.

@@LiveProducersOnline that's awesome! By the way, Ableton responded to one of my inquiries on FB about this matter. They said that the new Live 12 features will be coming to Push 3 on March 19 and we should expect an uodate then. I have Push 2 so curious how it will translate.

Just want to say around 35:40 he says he use to do it the old school way with muting the bands in the multiband comp. earlier he said he was maybe having phase issues but he doesn't know enough. i would say stop doing this and your phase issues will be a lot less severe but theres way more to it than that. look up klevgrand gaffel. easily the best plugin to split bands and keep phase. if your a sound designer in live i highly recommend this. split the bands in effect racks and start experimenting. if you get to work in a home studio a lot vs being mobile i highly recommend a correlation meter like the tc electronic clarity m loudness meter. way easier to learn about phase when its in your eyesight constantly. ps i set up for late night radio his first time opening for michal menert. so happy to see his continued success.
