Goran and Yngview sounding great!!
Anyone remember the address of the original Linekers bar from late 80s early 90s ?
It was in Playa de las Americas on the main road.
nxt time do on the bike only..
Will do Jacob 👍
Do you see much agate there and other stones like jasper? It looks absolutely stunning there too. 😁💕👍🏻
I have never been to a place where every stone and rock glistens like no other. I have heard of other Scottish rivers (The river Tweed I think), that carry precious gem stones..
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Thanks….I’m not well enough to go rock hounding or travel up to Scotland (I’m in Staffordshire), but I can daydream and put it on a wish list, lol! 😁💕👍🏻😘
@trappedinroom101 If ever you get the opportunity I would recommend it. They call Leadhills, Gods treasure house
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures thank you so much for that…I’ve just screenshot the replies with a big notice wrote across it, lol! I’m currently battling a chronic condition but you’ve got to line up some goals to aim for. 👍🏻😘 Sadly a lot of channels conspicuously avoid saying what beach they’re on or the area they’re in, and whilst I understand folk want to avoid competition, sometimes it’s a bit mean when it’s a public location or beach just overwhelmingly covered with more shells or rocks than they could sift through over a hundred lifetimes, lol! So bottom line, I have a soft spot for the channels that show the great places to have a go, because it gives a real boost and encouragement to people getting involved and interested, especially the younger generations. Many thanks 🤗💕👍🏻
@trappedinroom101 Thank you so much for your positive comments and for sharing your story. can I wish all the best with your health moving forward my friend and if the opportunity ever arises for you, get your self to the beaches south of Scarbourough. The gold is in the black sands 😉
When you hear people say, "bleed the fish" if you want to eat the later on, when home, does it just mean, remove the guts?
Hi Frank, it's not a term I have used but I was shown by a keen sea angler from Devon many years ago how to humanely prepare a fish prior to gutting it and to then give back all of the left overs to the sea. Gutting a fish is all part of the process if you like to enjoy a tasty meal at the end of the day after your time spent fishing on the rocks.
Come on Daz ...get out on the bike I need inspiration son lol ...hope ya well
Hi Geoff, I think I need some inspiration too, I 've been panning the gravels in Scotland all week and the weather's not played it's part !. 30 deg C everywhere else but here it's been far from it. I've got to make a series of videos for the gold panning enthusiasts and community and then rest assured I will be back on the cycling videos again. Thanks for asking though. I hope you are enjoying your cycling buddy.
My love song when i was in high school 1991...wow...so melted heart...😢
It's a great Balad 🙂
Hello Daz, have you any cycling vids in the pipeline?
Hi Terry, I'm in Scotland as we speak, having a wee break. Yes 👍 I have some cycling videos to edit, but I am trying to give my gold panning community some videos too as they have gone quite some time with nothing. Thank you for asking though. I hope you are enjoying the long "Dry" days AT LAST !
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Fully understand but hurry up. Are there more of us than those panners and snipers? Been on my newish Trek hybrid with slick tyres..wooo.....going great guns on the flat and downhill but not a bit of difference uphill hauling 15 stone plus . Enjoy your break.
A hybrid with a set of slick tyres will certainly shift Terry.I love my hybrid, especially with the 1x11 42t on the front and 32/11 on the back combo. I met a bloke at the campsite the other day doing JOGLE. He had to change from his Specialized carbon road bike part way through because his hands went numb. He was riding a conventional iron horse with a raised handlebar stem for comfort.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Iron is the future, we met 4 lads on the A6 tonight having a rest on four really rough old bikes, I said where are you heading and they said JOG and I worry about doing 50/60 miles on my hybrids. What an adventure for them. It was a game of two halves today with the wind but it has been a cracking week with four 40 + mile rides.
Four 40 milers is great going Terry, Chapeau to you ! The more riding you do a this distance quickly pays dividends with the fitness levels . If ever you meet a JOGLE / LEJOG rider, it should always be counted as a privilege in my opinion. It is the ride of lifetime and for those who take it on, it shows some determination for sure. Living in the NW of the UK, we are normally about day 4 or 5 on the route.
Nice colours in the pan🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
I do love the look of Welsh Gold in the pan 🙂
Galena?
There is Galena in the area 👌😫 but the gold behaves totally different in the pan to it.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures fancy doing a video on your geology methodology? Maybe not now probably content for the winter when you can’t get out panning. Could also do a gear breakdown And a video about licensing land owners permission permits etc Also, if you get a polarising lens cap it will cut the glair/reflection from the sun. We can see the gold in the pan/mat clearly. They’re £20, think I recommend this last year
Some great points there Tony and all noted. I am on the look out for a simple point and shoot camera for the close up shots. I use my phone but that's not practical. The Gopro can't do close up shots at all. I'm in Scotland right now sifting the gravels.👍
Can you advise please our toilet motor runs but no water coming in the bowl
Is there a blockage in the line or an air lock ? Or is there a valve in the closed position after winter storage. Is the pump polarity the correct way. It could be pushing not pulling water...
@MrDazP1adv3ntures we have not long bought the van it worked fine first time we were away but now it's like it's blocked a will have to open it to see
Maybe the pump is gummed up ?
Not bad bud cant complain at a picker. 👍⚒️🏴
They always look great with a close up shot pal 👍🙂
just watched this (yeah late I realise), Brilliant! Fantastic riding in great countryside and that weather looks like a challenge. You need some good judgement on roads like those, and always a bonus if other road users are courteous. That distance needs some real determination. Well done mate and thanks for sharing, we really enjoy seeing them. all best.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and commenting, they are greatly appreciated. This was a tough ride for sure and I am so glad that I decided to continue after the 100km checkpoint and do the full course. It's definitely character building I can tell you that . Enjoy your cycling my friend and all the best for 2024 👍
Still looking for one mr dazz
They pop up every now and then Paul, I'm not sure what the going rate is either. They are, in my opinion, a thing of beauty.
Great video, love it, keep em coming ❤
Thank you Dansyer 👍
Brilliant video thank you. Quick question were there secure places at the youth hostels you stayed at to lock your bike.
Hi John, at some YHA's there were and at others I hid the bike in the garden bushes and removed the front wheel. I also used travel lodges and they kindly let me put the bike in the cleaners store.
Great video Daz, such a cool spot, I’ve seen it on many videos and that location has been hit hard! Didn’t stop you finding some candy though! 🥷
Cheers Nugget Ninja, I just love sitting outside the tent late at night watching the sky get darker and darker buddy.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures one day I’ll visit that spot. It’s a great location as you can pitch close to your car to have all the comforts.
Ahh daz I always love your edits mate what a spectacular place to pull up for a look hope your well cheers
Hi Tazy T, just a few specs but a cracking weekends camping
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures that’s what it’s all about mate
Must admit, I like your camping vids buddy, you literally take the kitchen sink and heaps of beer.
it is a peaceful place to be , the midges are meat eaters 🤣, my place of sanctuary and seclusion, thanks for sharing bud.
The midges aren't fussy, they like us with or with out any seasoning on AUP 👍
Another quality production - thank you MrDaz!! Amazing scenery, and some lovely gold. But you also found the rarest thing - a sunny day with blue sky! :o)
The weather certainly makes for a better experience. I'm looking forward to your next adventure too 👍
My wife said"what on earth are you watching" ? I said it's Daz snorkeling for gold in a river. She walked away shaking her head😉😊
😂😂😂😂
It's what boys do at play time Terry
That’s my wife’s reaction to just about every video I watch on u tube. She even berates me for watching Quest to.😂😂
@markjewers8914 Ha ha 😆, I can spend a day in the shed sorting screws and washers out too, I have never made a video of it, but I would just for a laugh...
@@markjewers8914 They won't be shaking their heads when we come back with a sack of gold and opals or a fine 18th century writing desk.
Or how can I tell how old it is by serial number? Please
You could ask kzread.info/dron/Rp3CzI42iIMEfXhdOPMcbg.htmlabout/about
He knows a lot about air guns
Hi where can I order piston seals for my the webley mark 3 .177 air rifle
Try this shop www.airgunspares.com/
ahhh, brings back memories from when we were there. Didnt get anything like as much gold though and certainly no pickers
I think that this place must be one of the most worked areas in the UK because it so easily accessible. It's still a fantastic location to go for a camp and unwind from everyday life when the weather is going be good on a weekend !
You put the work in you get the rewards nice one bro 👏👍
The whole experience was fantastic, the camping, the scenery and the panning. It makes you want to do it again and again 👍
Great to see another gold video
Thank you Colin. Just a short video but I think it kind of worked out ok in the end.
Magical place the Mennock love it there although hard going for the gold the views, scenery and just being able to camp up next to the water make it very special. 🌟👍 Great video mate.
100% Chevsy. The moment you drive down the pass and that view opens up, it is knock out !
Nice one Daz 👍Had a couple of summer camps up there in my youth
Isn't it a great place to spend the weekend. It can get a bit busy nowadays though but there are a few spots where you can get away from crowds.
I stayed at Wanlockhead Youth Hostel by bike back in the day, near all these veins of lead and gold !! Have fun!
I want to plan a bike ride right through this location, It is a fantastic place to explore in lycra or in a wetsuit 😊
Love this content so much thank you for all the effort you put in. Good luck with finding that nugget in the future 👍👍🙏
Thank you Pollatso, I keep trying to refine the videos and keep them flowing. I just need some bigger pieces to find...
Thank you for making and sharing your videos!!😊❤
You are welcome Andrea, I hope you are well.👍
Hi, where do I find a spare trigger spring for it ? Thanks
You could always ask John Knibb spares g.co/kgs/CGK2uPS Or make one if you have the tools.
Excellent video once again mate 👌🏼 keep them coming
Thank you Peter, I'm working on the next prospecting video right now ! 👍
I really enjoyed watching this video. I am a disabled wheelchair user who would love to visit North Wales for a fishing holiday, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere I could fish that is accessible to park up and not walk too far and do a few days fishing. A quiet promenade would be ideal as I can only walk a very short distance, especially while pulling my gear on my fishing trolley. Any info about B+B and venues would be very much appreciated. 🦈👨🦽
Have you thought about places such as Llandudno pier or Aberystwyth harbour for example. You would have access to the deeper waters but with relative safety
Great to see you out prospecting Daz. Great video
Cheers buddy 👍
Hi there, great video. I had three pioneers in the 1990s and I used them to commute to and from work and they were great bikes. I deeply regret letting the last one go. The pump was a spring fit into the frame but all the wheels were 700 x 38c on the three I had. Raleigh was a great bike in my opinion. Thanks for the video.
Hi Peter and thank you kindly for sharing your memories about riding the Pioneer. I came across it by chance and thought that it was to good of an opportunity miss and decided to film the restoration. When I say that it is a comfortable bike to ride, it really is ! Once the bike gets up to speed it just rolls effortlessly along. Thank you once again for commenting buddy 👍
Well done bud i find it hard to prospect new areas when i know there's plenty gold in my favourite spot 👍⚒️🏴
That's a great point Hobbie M. I like the idea of looking at new spots, new spots to me that is, and applying the basic principles of gold panning to see what is lurking there in the gravels. It's a long drive in any direction for me too so I have to make the most of the day. Best of luck on your next trip to the river buddy 👌
Thanks for the video Daz, great to see some new content. That’s lucky finding gold at a new spot 🥷
It wasn't epic but to find gold at a new spot is always reassuring buddy. Have you been out to any secret burns recently ?
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures I’ve tried two new spots with some great footage however no luck in gold so haven’t posted anything. But the spots I tried had textbook sluice bedrock running across the river. Might need a sluice to hit it properly as I may of missed gold as I was sniping
@NuggetNinjaAdventures There's no harm in sucking the gravels up where you want to snipe and to sluice them. If there is any gold in that particular spot the finer pieces of gold will be in your bucket rather than being wafted away. It's really hard to see the small stuff when you are clearing the overburden. Best of luck with the prospecting, I'm sure you will hone your skills and find some of the good stuff...
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures thanks Daz. I’m on adventures in Skye at the moment so not sure I’ll have time to prospect up here. Hopefully be back on the gold soon 🥷
Yep, nice to see some colour there Daza. I've been doing the same ruddy great hole digging, with similar results - I only hit a few slightly chunkier flakes on my last day, - but the sun was on my back, so all's well🙂
Good on ya, it's all part of the learning curve and what adventures are made of. Best of luck on your next trip out to the river and as always, let us know how you get on 👌
I've got a BSA Scorpion I bought around 1980 new, It's working and in very good condition, But I recently went to it, and the safety catch prevents me from firing it? And now it's currently always loaded? After watching your video, I'm now worried about touching the trigger assembly? I live in Selby Yorkshire, Is there any chance I could get it to you, I would pay you to put it right for me? I could send you my email, For future details, Cheers Paul 👍
Hi Paul, I'd recommend going to a local gun shop, there's a few in that part of the world. Does the barrel break if you hit it with the palm of your hand.
Since posting this, I've got it working again ✌️ HUSSAR 👌
Great news 👍
Look after it, they go for a good price nowadays
Stunning Scottish scenery and some nice yellow pieces too - excellent! Thank you MrDazP1! :o)
Many thanks once again SGP, The gold looks pretty good with a macro zoom shot, A few bigger pieces wouldn't go a miss 👍😊
Pronounced wacky
You are right ! Thanks for sharing this. It's another language is Geology talk.
Great vid and some nice gold at the end thank you for sharing 👏👍
It was all pretty small stuff but well worth further visits to see what else lies there in the gravels 👍
Cheers buddy 👌
Really fancy a go at this thx to you.. Question tho, do I need get permit for any particular area in Scotland or just head of and try my luck.?
Hi Steve, you can try both, that's what seems to generally happen. There are places to gold pan with permissions available in the UK, but you might have to drive a fair distance to these locations.
Hi Steve, I would try Leadhills and Wanlockhead. You can get permits there
G'Day Daz, Great video mate 👍 I've just started on a creek similar to the one you're prospecting. Take care buddy 👍👍Cheers Kev
Hi Kev, it's great fun learning a river and how the gold travels down it. Best of luck with your prospecting.👍
