My favorite video’s are the one’s without any music. Minimal explanation, assume that if you are cutting timber, pre-drilling, and running a screw gun most people understand those concepts. My favorite parts are the sounds of the equipment, boards hitting the table, and the sound of a nail gun. I also appreciate seeing blunders, and screw ups. This may make the video long but it makes you more relatable . Sorry I had to mute the music.

Did good job, it a 4 foot stand, you really didn't need the middle supports. You have 8 braces on corners that will hold 4800-6400 lbs. Two middle is another 1200-1600 lbs. After 4 feet then I would start with middle braces. You think a 72 inch stand has middle supports and that's at 36 inches center

Question, if I have tiny gaps on support pieces from outside, like 1-2 millimeter at same places, will all stand level up after I fill tank with water. Just worried. Thanks

Question. At 1:36 why did you screw from the outside instead of the inside leg? It seems you would have more grab screwing from the opposite side. Nice build.

Thanks so much for the video! I will be making my 20 long stand this weekend! I also noticed hopefully a helpful tip! Since the bottom of the shelf is the same L&W as the bottom frame, if you placed the frame on top of the plywood, you could easily trace around the 2x4's to cut it perfectly to fit. I didn't think of that until I saw your video. I'll try that out to see how well it works!

Reefkpr thanks. I definitely let this tank get away, but at the same time I look at it as I took on a big challenge by starting with a nano tank. Overall I have never had any major issues. Now I have a bigger tank. They say “bigger is better “ so I hope that is the case. I have enjoyed the Nuvo 40 and still don’t know if I’ll keep it. But overall I learned so much that I can hopefully try to use for my new tank.

Ya it is! That’s why I got lower one and it was open box from BRS. $425
@MikeLemming5 жыл бұрын
I researched it and I’m not tremendously worried about lab grade probes or not. It comes with a salinity probe but all the reviews on BRS say the probe is garbage and never works/reads right. And it also comes with some kind of module for controlling things. I won’t be taking the apex to the max so the eb8 should be sufficient for my needs. There’s 2 left on the BRS site..
