Welcome and thanks for visiting. I'm a talented artist, loving wife, and busy mother. I design and create unique handmade and personalized gift items.

My channel is all about arts and crafts. Right now, you'll find beginner friendly crochet patterns, easy clay tutorials, and thoughtful gift ideas. Im new to KZread, so I do plan to work into some mixed media and other arts and crafts as I grow my channel.

I encourage everyone to please be sociable in the comments; ask questions if you have them, let me know your thoughts, and feel free to offer suggestions. Your feedback is very much appreciated.

Please tune in every week on Wednesday to see what I'm up to, or click the links in my bio and check out my merchandise on Etsy, Printify, and Michael's.

You can also find me on Pinterest & Instagram as The Woodland Whisp. I'd love to see all of your creations too, so please follow me and share. Thanks.

    Very pretty! Thank you for sharing. Was wondering if you have ever done a test over time using the modge podge as a glaze? I know there are many many different versions now so wondering if you have found a specific version that doesn’t end up having a bad reaction with the clay later down the road?

  • @TheWoodlandWhisp

    The only issue I've ever had with modpodge is that begins to peel if it gets knicked or scratched. That's why I generally only use it for jewelry pieces that are worn more than handled. I have earrings from 6 and 8 yrs ago that I sealed with modpodge and they still look great. I use the gloss or satin finish and I've never seen it react adversely to clay.

    Good luck! I used roses for this tutorial cause they're easiest to make, but I've made daisies and orchids too that turned out great. The hardest part of the skull is the lower jaw, but you don't really need it for flower centers.

    These are really cool. I can see them hanging from a bookmark. My sister loves money so maybe I could do a monopoly money cover. My sister-in-law loves patchwork, so I could do tiny strips of fabric. Thank you for the instructions and inspiration.

    Your welcome and thank you. I've used fabric on these before and it's great. A monopoly theme would be unique and nostalgic. I did a pacman one a few years ago.

    These are beautiful. I'm not up to this level yet, but you've definitely inspired me. Is there any way to make a lid so you don't end up with a mess of ink in your handbag or pencil case etc ?

  • @TheWoodlandWhisp
    @TheWoodlandWhispАй бұрын

    Unfortunately no, you could probably make a secondary lid but idk how effective it would be. I keep mine in my purse and it doesn't leak ink like some pens do. You can make little desk stands for them to sit upright in.

    Cute pendant but why are you using your phone as a work surface?

  • @TheWoodlandWhisp
    @TheWoodlandWhispАй бұрын

    Why not, it's small, easy to hold in my hand, easy to see and get to from all sides. Its broken, might as well use it for something.

  • @Topitoffable
    @TopitoffableАй бұрын

    @TheWoodlandWhisp OK, broken, got it. I use a 5X5 piece of tile. Got it at Home Depot for $1.00 or so. It's also easy to move around and can go right in oven. But if the phone works for you, more power to you girl!

    Great tutorial! Thank you very much.😊 you could use a heat gun and run it over the textured layer, you put on first, it'll harden it just enough for you to handle it without smusshing it. Just do it for a minute or two. Then continue adding all your other clay elements 😊. I saw it done in another tutorial 😊
