First of all, I'm nothing new on sky watching been doing it since 2005 on and off. I use infrared filters on 4k nightshot camera as well as 3rd gen starlight scope and high power binoculars to do both daytime and night time sky watching. Last night around 9:30pm Arizona time, I spotted a silent v shape object flying south to north at a fast speed. I only had my 3rd gen starlight scope on me and did not recorded it. Hopefully I will spot this thing again and this time I will have a camera attached to the starlight scope. It did not appeared to have lights at all but was very faint to see even with the starlight scope. Last night the sky had a lot of activity. Lots of satellites were spotted but I also spotted what it appeared to be a lit up star in the south sky while a commercial airplane flew underneath it. As soon as the commercial plane flew past this bright starlight like star, it dimmed out. This is the second time I seen it. South of me is the border with Sonora, Mexico and commercial airlines usually fly following the costal line with the ocean.

It seems that propellers at wing tips like this could counteract wing-tip vorticies and so be more efficient. Do you have any idea if this is true?
