I'm pro 80's melbourne's here but even 90's melbourne had it's charm here. I went to the city alot around then. I miss The Met and the Z1 class trams.

This was recorded on a weekend since both trams 11 and 12 have just one car hooked to the motor vehicle. On weekdays, these would almost exclusively drive with 2 cars behind the motor car. Very nice video, thank you for the trip down memory lane.

Da die Straßenbahn in Graz Normalspur hat, wäre es ein leichtes sie wie in der deutschen Stadt Karlsruhe mit dem Eisenbahnnetz zu verknüpfen. Dort fahren Zweisystem-Wagen die sowohl mit Gleich- und Wechselstrom fahren können. Hier näheres dazu: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadtbahn_Karlsruhe Das würde die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel noch attraktiver machen.

In der deutschen Stadt Karlsruhe gibt es das seit über 30 Jahren. Da kommen auf den Straßenbahnlinien die auch auf Eisenbahngleisen fahren Zweisystem-Wagen zum Einsatz die sowohl mit 750V Gleichstrom und 15kV Wechselstrom fahren können. An den Übergangsstellen erfolgt die Umschaltung vollautomatisch.

Ein Jahr später kam ich als kleiner Bub nach Österreich und irgendwann noch später schließlich nach Graz, um dann nach der Ausbildung, als Planer, viele Straßenbahnprojekte zu verwirklichen. :)

ne mogu da vjerujem da su se ovako dobra kola u Zagrebu vozila 1992. U Podgorici tek od 2006 počinje malo bolje da se živi.

to sve na kredit koji na kraju ne otplate lol.. nema sanse da bi si ja auto kupovao, u HR mogu sa javnim prevozom gdje hocu, a zivim u selu od 2000 ljudi 50 km van Zagreba.... imam 7 buseva i 10 vlakova do glavnog grada. Isto do posla itd. auto bi me kostao godisnje valjda 10 000 HRK.

@@timojarun7830 Tramvaji jesu bili stari, al su bar održavani (ako išta pofarbani tak da ne zahrđaju). I dan danas voze ti tramvaji (uz nove Končare), i još uvijek izgledaju uredno. A onda kad to usporediš sa Sarajevom...

Jes' vala dok se nismo otcijepili od Srbije i postali privatna mafijaska drzava broj 1 u Evropi.Prije toga smo satlno bili prirepak i privezak Srbiji i najsirimasnija teritorija u bivsoj SFRJ posle pokrajine Kosova i Metohije.Do sredine 1980-tih na magarcima je narod isao iznad Budve.Ne znam da li je bilo gore onda ili danas, kad se voze dobra auta a nema se leba.

Sada imamo još bolje tramvaje i autobuse nego onda. Općenito gledano, i sam grad danas modernije izgleda nego prije. Ove iskopane tračnice, pokrili smo kockama, tako da ljepše izgleda.

This was a very interesting video to watch, because I filmed trams in Graz at the same exact locations as you did, in 2019 and 2021. It's fascinating to see the change that has taken place there during the last 30+ years.

@@sipelpoiss I mean things like destroying historic buildings and building ugly ones instead and calling it progress. Or eliminating old trams for new ones with much fewer seats made of plastic. Many things have become so cheap. I have subscribed, so I won't miss your new editions. 🤗

@@Monitschka I agree, destroying historic buildings unnecessarily just to build new ones, which also don't look beautiful, is sad. I love the old town of Graz and I hope they at least don't change anything there. The old trams were already gone in 2021 (from passenger service), so I'm glad I was able to film them in 2019. Danke für die nostalgische Reise. Ich hatte ganz die vielen Busse an der Babenberger Straße vergessen und dass auf der inneren Mariahilfer Straße noch die Straßenbahnlinien 52 und 58 fuhren. Klar, es gab ja noch keine U3.
