    Days like this i Really enjoy your videos.... I watched a Accident at a Light, RIGHT in front of me. No one was hurt but WOW. Crazy. Of course being a Sane Sober Moral person i pulled over an made sure there ok and waited for cops. It was questionable who had the Right away. But when you are more then half way and get your bumper ripped off in the intersection and i watched the light turn flashing arrow so i think it was going Green next and the other lady changed lanes an went through the light on a yellow or red. Cop asked about the arrow light an if it was Flashing or not. I am crazy aware so i know it was flashing i LOL i notice everything. Plus i was 2 cars behind her. CRAZY DAY. Of course it was in front of Walmart. The one time i go there in 4 months. LOL

    Yeah man I like to have lights! Mainly since I drive in the evenings often and these woods get darker earlier with all the flora blocking the sunlight and Its fun to have a proper set of headlights that light up the trails and just looks cool doing it. I have a winch in my parts bin thats not being used but its just a basic decent one that Im curious to see if it has the power to lift this rig but im gonna be looking at some soon. I like the ones that come with the small fob controller that can clip onto a transmitter which makes it a more simple installation since the fob controller is already programmed and ready to function out the box. The one I have will require a little programming on my transmitter but shouldn’t be a problem, I’m still getting used to the functionality of this new Dumbo radio. Im gonna check out the licensed winches u mentioned also since that would be the best option but if the one I have works well enough for now then i may use it for a little while or when waiting for a new one to ship. So far this RC has been tons of fun to upgrade both the scale looks and the performance. I can see why alot of people recommend getting the Trailfinder II since it has plenty of part support too. Thanks for the comment, stay cool man and RC on!😀

    @@JamesDirtRC Yeah man Redcat 18 are a great performer out the box also with alot of upgrade support! Plus the electronics on it can straight up run on a 3s lipo even though it doesnt meantion 3s in the manual anywhere. No other stock 18 scale can handle 3s. I was weary about trying it but wow it is freaking handling it with no substantial temperature increases with a boost in performance. Aloti of people suggested 3s and I watched several videos before attempting it. Even on 2s its a crawling beast. I hope to see you get something you will be happy with. The FMS are awesome but they dont seem to have as many uprade parts like the Redcat or the Axials but FMS are great with the scale looks that perform great. All RCs are all pricyIMHO. I hate the cost of all of them but I try to get the best for the buck for the most part lately. I just hope you get one that you will be satisfied with. Its a tough choice. I love a good cheap transmitter, this 6ch Dumbo was like $30 and its more comfortable than a $100 digital Radiolink and Radiolink even ownes and makes Dumbo RC controllers. One thing that blows is while tightening the set screw on my pinion on this motor, I over torqued just enough to strip it out! Man it stripped bad too, completely round with no more hex. Thanks my friend! I finally began to break in the leaf springs also. If you look at the suspension in the video you can see the improvement in flex. I was told it just takes time and gets better, which is understandable giving the stiffness the leafs had on my first run. I have a few more scale cosmetic parts coming from RC4WD soon and am looking forward to that. I had this motor never used just sitting in my parts bin and forgot about it until yesterday while driving with the 21turn Holmes motor, I was wanting a little more slow modulation then “the light bulb went off above my small but useful brain” lol. I remembered this motor and wow it has awesome slow speed control. I love it, along with a nice trail speed and this 1080 esc it runs great. Thank you for your thoughts and always cool! The more i slow it down with the throttle dual rate ive noticed the more slow speed control i have. That is what made it much more enjoyable to drive. I literally shelved this one for months since I wasn’t pleased with all the speed and it being so difficult to cruise along at a scale slower speed but now that I decided to get it out and work with the adjustments the transmitter provided it has plenty of slow speed control and nice modulation without sacrificing too much power. I was able to crawl on my rock course with it really well and that was when I decided to take it to the trail and test out a scale trail drive with good results. Now with the throttle rate on high it literally has so much punch that if I remove the added weights to the front than it will pop wheelies which sounds fun but is way too much punch to enjoy a nice slow speed controlled scale trail drive. Great slow control now though with the adjustments I am able to easily make. Thank you for a great question and RC on friend!☮️😃

This was a very cool and nice thing for them to do and they have shown me they have the best customer service as an RC retailer that I have personally experienced over the years of dealing with multiple RC brands. I have had bad and good outcomes using magnets as body mounts but mostly bad. Fortunately the four screws that hold the body on (ive upgraded to quick release pins) are plenty enough to hold the body on and the two body post just help support the bed for extra protection and if i replace them with magnets than I shouldnt notice any changes besides more scale looks since they will not be used as the main body/chassis conection like the four pins im using are. I also dont really mind the post but magnets would allow a true full quick release setup. Stay awesome friend and RC on!

    I love the little Capra and It blows to hear the axles are giving you issues. Im not sure how much longer mine will hold up before I have trouble with them. Ive taken it on the large rock course that I drive alot. The servo’s are like glass. Horizon hobby sent me an entire case of them a few years back so Ive decided to use them up but wow they break often and Im aware they are just stock and nothing I would ever use on my larger RCs but since I have an entire case I decided to burn them up with the mini Capra. Ive gone through up to around seven so far and I plan to finally put some quality ones on once I start to get low on my stock of them. For trail driving they last a bit longer but still I wish Axial would not ever use such low quality parts that are brittle and make standards a little higher seeing alot of their vehicles are not cheap on the wallet but come stock with some lower quality parts. Thank you for sharing your issue with the axles as i will inspect the condition of mine first thing in the morning and if mine are looking rough for wear I will plan on some metal upgrades soon. This one came with no wheels or electronics. I used a Holmes Hobbies motor and a Hobbywing 1080 on it for around two months of almost daily driving until I broke a driveshaft. The stock driveshafts are the kind I never use anymore which are connected with the pins held on by a spring like wire that is so easy under torque to let the pin slide right out. At the time the driveshaft broke I had purchased several new RCs and I just haven’t took the time to do anything else with it since. Everything besides the driveshafts held up fine and I plan on working with it soon as it is a good RC for the price I paid and everything besides the driveshafts still function fine. These are Duratrax Stakker MT 3.8”wheels and they come pre-glued to the rim but you have to buy the wheel extensions in order to fit them so they can fit like the stock tires do. Duratrax used to sell the “Summit” style Stakker wheels but no longer do and this is the only way to get the Stakker tires to fit properly although they do work without the extensions but they are set way less wider on the axle than they should. They discontinued the Stakker MT 3.8” with the 1/2” offset needed to fit perfectly not long before I had bought this set you see here on my video from a year or two ago. So I had to buy the extentions to make the only ones they sell fit and mount wide like the ones they discontinued would have, but I like them alot. Thanks friend, If you need any more help just give me a shout. I have made probably a dozen more videos of my summit since this one and I have a green body on it now.

    that's a cool little trail rig, I just got a YIkong 4103 pro Toyota FJ cruiser 1/10th scale and it seem's to have a lot of body roll more than this one does is it possible that my shock's did not come with oil in them ? • @deanmachinerc3258
    @deanmachinerc3258Ай бұрын

    I completely agree with not wanting to sacrifice the flex. First i would try to adjust the springs if they have built in adjustments or even clips but if no improvement than I would try to add some oil and I would start with a low amount to see if there was any improvements. I added 30 weight oil to this one and its almost where i want the suspension to be. I want this one to flex like a real one would. Surprisingly these stock shocks really work well and keep it from wanting to flip over and provide a fair amount of nice flex. Now my RC4WD Miller came stock with low oil that alot of people tend to add more but I feel it just looks better and has better flex with the low oil level so I decided to leave mine stock and It looks great when it flexes over obstacles. Let me know if you made any improvements on you shocks and RC on friend!
