  Hades followed to formula of almost every isometric roguelike in existence, so when i played it the first time i did beat it in my first run, not even by being that great at the genre, but just kind of knowing what works in those games mostly. Similar to how card games like slay the spire all feel like the best defense is a good offense kind of strategy

  those are roguelites, not roguelikes. the only faithful popular roguelikes that come to my mind would be the pokemon mystery dungeon games.

  I would recommend you play Caves of Qud, you can complete the whole game in a single run, being more precise, it is designed to be like that. Rogue like,10/10 game, jope you see this comment.

  When I bought hades a month ago I hadn't even heard of it. I only found out after playing how popular it was and I think it's the first rogue game I've ever played. I enjoy it a lot! As intended I died a lot but I really got the hang of it and it's really fun.

  Never played slay the spire but I know I'd get completely addicted to it since I love roguelikes and I LOVE card games, especially deckbuilder card games so that game hits everything for me!

  The first time enemies attack you outside of the floor boundaries that almost all enemies in the first level respect it is such a shock I feel that so hard!

  Cool idea! This is gonna go TERRIBLY tho! I mean I have a good bit over 100h in dead cells and I've only beaten the final boss (who, spoiler, isn't even the FINAL final boss), one single time on a really lucky run! I'd love to see you play more of the game tho, it is so much fun!

  SPOILERS FOR DEAD CELLS It's so ironic how you walk up to Collector and your first instinct is to call him a bad guy. Depending on point of view, he's both main enemy or literally the only hope Dead Cells world has against it's deadly plague.
