    I stay away from oleander. Highly toxic. A single leaf can kill a human, animal or livestock.

    Every winter I start more common milkweed from seed in my grow room. I love the fragrance, along with all the biology milkweed draws into my garden. Stay Well!!!! Used to be stationed at Fort Bragg, Loved NC.

    These things were all over my trees. So I sprayed them with herbicide like it said in the Department of Agriculture pamphlet and it killed all my damn trees !

  • @packard5682
    @packard5682Ай бұрын

    Are you sure that the pamphlet said 'herbicide'? Herbicides kill plants! Re-read the pamphlet and it probably said Pesticide which kills insects.

    Oleander (Nerium oleander) is a common ornamental evergreen shrub. It is used as a freeway median divider in warmer states, such as California. This plant is extremely toxic, and a single leaf may kill an adult.

    How far would you plant from the sidewalk edge so when it reaches a height of about 6 feet tall, it is up along the edge of the sidewalk without growing into it?

    Always with the insecticides. If you're going to use anything, use spinosad. We cant keep destroying our soil biology and not expect to see a negative ripple effect in the ecosystem. How low does the bird and insect populations have to get before we learn?

    Glad I found this one. I just planted 5 new peach trees that are around 26" tall. Of those 4 are whips. FULL of leaves so I was wondering when and where I shoud start to look to prune them. One already has the side branches so I just need to cut the center. Sounds like I need to cut the whips a little tall and then come back and adjust the prune next year in dormancy.
