Hi mate, unfortunately I don’t have that rifle anymore and can’t measure it sorry. All my notes for projectile seating depth were measured in base to ogive so i’m not 100 percent sure what base to tip would have been. I do have some mates that I load a similar setup for so next time they are around i’ll try remember to grab a measurement.

I envy the you the food in the camp, but NOT the climbs. I suffer from arthritis and I could just see myself dying on a hill - probably about three metres up. 😃😃 Great hunting.

You can see on the slip faces that there’s bugger all decent feed. Good job knocking over the hinds because this really is what needs to be done, and a lot more of it. Most entertaining video and excellent for Tov to be on to a decent stag, well done!

Good stuff fellas that first heads not bad for a ruahine bush stag at all. As a side note this is why they recommend you treat river water even if it looks clear, never know when there's a bunch of animals rotting upstream 🤣

What was the velocity change from the standard length barrel and the shorty. I’m really considering shortening mine to 18”. Just concerned about the velocity loss. Hunting big arse moose but I typically don’t shoot past 400 yrds. Running a Rugged Alaskan Ti360 can. Thanks mate.
@WildNZ3 ай бұрын
I changed powders when I shortened the barrel so I didn’t get a direct comparison unfortunately. I personally wouldn’t go less then 20” for a 7mm rem mag. I have multiple friends with them cut to 20” and that works out nice.

I’ve had it over a year now and love it mate. My only two complaints would be that the TPI engine is a little weak off the bottom end and I hated the air fork. I have upgraded my suspension to a WP6500 spring conversion and it is night and day better. Really like the bike.

100 percent legal. What you see in the vid is exactly what that tool (a snare) is designed to do and sold all over the country. There are other tools designed to go in behind them to stop their retreat so you can grab them easier etc too.

Kudos to you all, those trails are similar to where we ride in the Bay of Islands. You seemed to be honking through some really slippery, deceitful, tricky trails. 7:50ish. It's fair to say I would be soiling myself at that point, at that speed.
