My wife and I loved the outdoors, I am a metal detectorist, my wife loves photography. We like walking and exploring, historic places, stately homes, ruined abbeys etc. After suffering a severe adverse reaction to Ciprofloxacin given for an infection I didn't have, I am now disabled. This antibiotic is toxic to some people it attacks soft tissue, tendons, muscles, cartilage. It's left me with peripheral neuropathy in both legs, severe osteoarthritis in my knees and shoulders with cartilage degeneration and in constant pain in many areas of my body. My wife is a member of Fluoroquinolone Toxicity support UK, which offer great support. After sitting in the house for six months I decided to try and get some semblance of life back. We bought a secondhand powerchair, a 4X4 magic mobility extreme X8, and a WAV. We are going to film some of our outings and metal detecting adventures. We will look at parking, accessibility and pricing. Please subscribe we would really appreciate it.

Excelente amigo 🙋♂️🇨🇱👍👏🙏🤜🤛
today finally i hit my first silver and it was a 1931 sixpence. thanks for inspiration in the reply to my comment below. the shiny stuff really did appear!
Woo hoo! Brilliant. Really pleased for you. 🙂And where you found one, there could be more! 😉
not found one yet but would be nice and is on my bucket list that lasts for 17 miles 😂
You will find one, they are there somewhere. One of the things on my (Wendy's) bucket list is a crotal bell, I would really love to find one of those. 🙂
how did napoleon get there. its a mysterey i guess
Apparently, according to Jon, this isn't Napoleon Bonaparte from the Battle of Waterloo. When France was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 there was then a time of peace between Britain and France so travelling, for the rich, and doing a "European Grand Tour" became fashionable again. This coin is from that time, Napoleon III. (I am a bit disappointed now, I thought it was Napoleon Bonaparte. 🤣🤣)
@@disabledadventures4115 thanks for the info. i am facinated in the napoleonic wars and prehaps i can see what i have in a bag at home of some coins from france and belgium on the battle grounds that i brought in a shop. i have not got any coins in good condition from that time. ( crusty george 111 coins) but my favourite find in my lifetime is my profile picture. my most precious find 😇
... a treasure box ...full of lead 🤣 my worst nightmare to dig all of that and to get lead.
I know, lol. 🤣
I have a site and i am still hoping for silver but i haven't had any after 21 pre decimal coins but luckily the ground is good so they're all in excellent condition and have made good videos for me and a nice place to relax in the sun. there is nothing better than metal detecting on a sunny day. :)
That's a result 21 pre decimal coins. Jon would say, "There's got to be some of the shiny stuff!" lol. Keep going, bet there will be some! At the very least, like you say, nice and relaxing out in the sun 🙂
@@disabledadventures4115 Thanks, i have one more day out there till winter so hopefully i will hit something shiny 🤞 the site is un- detected and on manor grounds so lots of people walking round back in the day.
@@disabledadventures4115 i have one day left to find something shiny this season hopefully i will
@@disabledadventures4115 i was back at my site today and things werent good and it was my last day detecting till winter 😥a miracle happened and out popped a silver sixpence 1931 and it was great. the shiny stuff really did appear! 🤣😅 what a miracle!
Thanks for your video, me & wife looking to get a 4x4 power chair ( not many are true 4x4 ) for rambling, trips, adventures, holidays, most chairs out there are useless in anything other than good surfaces and wife loves going of-roading, I don't need a power chair but its so much fun we have two so I use too 😁 I see most of your content is metal detecting but love to see more real life pro's and con's to X8 or any 4x4 chair use and ownership. thanks again you both😊👍
Hi there So pleased you found our channel useful, that was what we intended when we started it tbh. Sounds like you have a lot of fun in your powerchairs 😂. We are going to be putting on some different videos of our adventures so keep watching and I hope they will be of interest to you 🙂
LOL 😂 been stuck a few times as a HGV driver on building sites, well done those who pulled you out👍
Lol, I think we might still have been there if he hadn't. Honestly never been so grateful. Thank you for commenting 🙂
Cool, this bit of history is a short drive from us at Corby👌
on the first spill all 3 young victoria 👍👌
the other day i found a george 6th just like that one. i think the condition is good because there are no animal waste or chemicals in the ground
That's brilliant. Yes we have found certain ground doesn't treat coins so kindly. The copper ones are best in sandy well draining soil. We have some permission where the soil is very "heavy" and they are in shocking condition. 🙂
@@disabledadventures4115 Yes i have just had my new site and it is on some 13th century manor grounds. so far i have had 21 pre- decimal coins 16 one penny coins and they are in beautiful condition so i hope the site will bring me a silver three or six pence. it also makes nice videos and a peaceful place in the sun to spend a day.😀
@@disabledadventures4115 i have a new permission and i have 21 pre decimal coins 16 are one pennys :) and it is good for my recent videos and a sunny place to relax.
Had not seen you posting in a while and it is great to see another video good luck on the permission.
Hi, Thank you, fingers crossed it turns up more. All the best Jon and Wendy 🙂
Get in😊💚 bling!!!! Great to see you guys back was getting a little worried about you both. Still hope your well 💚
Hi , I know, what a result! Best session in a while. We are all good thank you. We have been concentrating on trying to get a vehicle sorted so as we can sleep in it. That way we can travel a bit further afield. Fingers crossed 🤞All the very best from Jon and Wendy 🙂
@@disabledadventures4115 good I'll keep my eyes open for accessable land try and get you over to Leicester 😜💚
Hi Jon & Wendy , well what a cracking session loads of silver love the coins and the spoon looks like you have got a good spot there , i also like the Pendant that Gareth sent you it's very nice , as for focusing the camera blot out the back ground with your hand because the camera is trying to focus on the object and the back ground at the same time it confuses the camera , anyway top video enjoyed it hope all is good with you both best wishes and ATB Rob .
Hi, we couldn't believe it tbh. First the silver spoon, which I was super pleased with and then the coins, which as we know, is Jon's thing (loves his coins!). That pendant is lovely and I am so grateful to Gareth for letting me have it! 🥰. We will try that with the camera, thanks for that. Hope you are well, Jon and Wendy 🙂
hey heeey.. congratulations!!!!
Hi , Thank you. All the best from Jon and Wendy 🙂
Nice hunt, thanks for sharing. I dare Wendy to use the lipstick on camera. :) What happened to the skinny tan spray bottle?
Lol, I did think about it, very nice colour! Jon emptied the pouch and left the skinny tan bottle on the table, I had been ribbing him about it all afternoon haha. Thank you for watching and commenting 🙂
Nice one Jon and Wendy👍❤️
Thank you, glad you enjoyed watching 🙂
good job well done ! it's a very promising permission guys, entertaining dig.
Hi, thank you. It was a very good afternoon. Thank you for watching and commenting, we appreciate it. All the best from Jon and Wendy 🙂
Wow what a great outing! I'm always digging super high tones in the hopes that it is something amazing...
Yes your right 99% of the time the high tones and numbers are guaranteed to be scrap, a tin can or some other large piece of rubbish, we were blown away and will remember that day for ever. All the best Wendy and Jon in England. 🙂🙂
Thank you!
Your video makes it look good to visit but I read a review someone left online saying it was not accessible. It looks like the place generally has pretty mixed reviews though. Will trust you and pop along sometime 😊
Hi, the track down to the wetlands is very rough so may not be accessible to all scooters/powerchairs. It isn't a massive place to visit, but once on the viewing platforms there is lots of different wildlife to see. 🙂
@@disabledadventures4115 I do love how great your x8 is. Very impressive!
Another helpful video. Thank you both. I'm lining up our summer days out now 😂
Ahh so pleased you are finding them useful, this is exactly what we intended them for. We loved Stafford Castle, hope you do too 🙂
@@disabledadventures4115 we've done Stafford Castle pre wheelchair for outdoor theatre and I remember thinking it was steep then 😆 prepared to give it a try. My stamina is only an hour or so anyway
Great video. Another place added to my list. Thank you so much, guys 😊
HI there, your are more than welcome. We hope to be adding a few more during the summer 🙂
Im in Missouri of the USA and i have enjoyed watching your video. Its nice to see another disabled person who is stuck in a wheelchair and has a hobby and doing metal detecting. Finding lost items, but have you ever thought about getting a pull behind ground detector for finding things underground like meteorites. They are easily picked up with metal detectors and worth alot of money. If you have a friend thats good working with their hands, they can build you a nice pull beind detector that will fold up for saving space.
Hi there, we will certainly give this some thought. Funnily enough, a meteorite dropped on someones driveway, not too far away from us, it was on the News. I think they sold it Thank you for commenting 🙂
This was so helpful and informative. Looking forward to visiting there ourselves. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely comments, hope you have a good explore while you are there.🙂🙂
some interesting finds off that field and real detecting,, the item at 12-55 i think is part of a Georgian rim lock handle HH and good luck on the next have subbed you
Hi, thank you for the info about the Georgian rim lock handle, and thank you for the sub. All the best Wendy and Jon.
😂😊
Hello Mrs Baldwin I'm on my dads account
Hello Mrs balldwin 😅😅
Hi 😊
very cool hunt guys
Thank you and glad you enjoyed the video. All the best Wendy and Jon
Found loads of these &thought it would be nice to use them for something looks like you had. Same idea .will give it a try
Hi there, would be good to see them if you have a go. I was thinking of doing a few more and adding them to a garment. Thanks for commenting, cheers Jon and Wendy 😊
Again some cracking finds, the 1699 coin was good for it's age, if you'd of kept going you would of had a set of 6 spoons, good video guy's we enjoyed it 👍
Thank you. Lol, yes, don't think we've ever found so much cutlery in one session 😂. And we are quite pleased with 1699 coin 👍. All the best Jon and Wendy 😊
Hi Jon & Wendy , well plenty of finds and the 1699 coin was a lovely find i also like the lead weight with the alloy loop it may have been used for dry casting practice by a fisherman , if it was a really old lead weight the loop would have been cast into the weight as one solid piece and not added into the molten lead ie an alloy loop , great video once more and love the banter , best wishes and ATB Rob .
Hi , we love that coin! The lead weight was strange, we actually found another one the following week and we did think of a fishing weight, there isn't any water nearby, but maybe, whoever dropped it, was prepared to walk a long way, who knows? I wonder how old it is? Thank you for watching and commenting, we appreciate it. Cheers from Jon and Wendy 🙂
Get in 👍💚
🤙🤟👍thanks 😊
Why would anyone make a forgery of a coin? Your finds are very nice. And you know, there is no arguing with the man who knows everything. Just kidding John. 🤣🤣
Hi 👋. Strangely, coins were forged a lot, they would make them out of melted down copper alloy coins, which were cast into moulds of the silver coinage and then dipped in a very thin layer of silver. This was called silvering. Thank you for commenting and glad you enjoyed the video. All the best from Jon and Wendy 😊
Hola amigos, como siempre muy interesante video y hallazgos, les envío un gran saludo y un gran abrazo desde chile, éxito siempre 🙋♂️🇨🇱⛏️💍🗝️🗡️💪🤜🤛🙏😊👏👍

Glad you enjoyed it. I don't really like being in front of the camera, I am much happier behind it 😂. All the best from Jon and Wendy 🙂
