Internationally renowned as ‘The Voice of the Tenor Horn’, Sheona White has been performing and educating since the 1990’s, expanding the technical limits of the instrument and augmenting the quantity and quality of its repertoire.
Why didn't Tom Jones and Heather Small ever do a duet - perfectly matched.

No discussion! Derek Bourgeois is one of the great master of brass band repertoire... And what an absolute band was YBS. I feel sad that I born too late, to get a chance to write a piece for you. Of course, there are plenty of wonderful bands today, but I think if this YBS was still playing, he can be able to get new Europeans titles! Thank you so much for this legacy!

Sheona For O/C on that day with 88pts and placed 8th position how could that of been ? You guys & gals must of been scratching your heads on that one. It must not of impressed the Major & Co that day. @11.18 Wow only David King would have the balls to do that (have yet to see another conductor do similar), Cocky, confident, arrogant (but I loved it) you could say but he was top dog back then, just Brilliant. The band as a whole, the musicians, the name Yorkshire Building Society there was always bums on seats in every audthorium god i miss the mid to late 90's of the bands dominance.

Thankyou for sharing this Sheona. I think this is a band that only existed for a few years but will be remembered for many more. I'm glad the band survived and are going from strength to strength, but the YBS/King combination was something very special and something to savour.

Hmm , Sorry but I'm not sure about those comments to be fair . Firstly I think YBS were fortunate to have Sheona playing for them not the other way round, and as regards ' last of the great bands ' ? Cory haven't been too bad over the last few years as well as Brighouse , Black Dyke , Fodens Tredegar . In my opinion they all have a sound that can match YBS on their day .
