Why do you need pinlock? I have Bell Race Star Flex DLX and the visor is great. It has never fogged up even when I ride in the rain or when I ride after a workout and my head is hot.
Nice to see an Alpinestars helmet being reviewed. Great review by the way!
Your movies are the best!
Please, if you can, just go and take a look on Nexx helmets, I am really curious about an objective review
Love to see an Alpinestars helmet getting reviewed
Great and thorough review, the best on KZread as always. Glad I purchased the Shoei X-15.
You guys have the best and the most objective reviews, I enjoy watching your videos
So it's okay but not great?? Good to know before spending a G
The helmet looks really good and great review guys!
Simply the best reviews out there right now 📈
How are the noise decibels? Do they offer other visors besides smoke?
The method makes no sense. Do the test with a naked bike.
Folks, if you live in the USA, don’t buy from champion! They don’t stand behind their sales in the US…
Care to elaborate? Am looking to order
Had opportunity to buy one of them for same price. Went with rpha because of two things: sportmodular have serious design flaw, chin open button will break and you cant open it anymore. No spares to get. So basically trash. Saw at least few reports of this. Second reason - agv was black which is worst colour for helmet, while rpha one was white and other blsck-white with mostly white, looks lovely. Rpha is far from perfect but i still think its best modular currently if weight is important to you. Otherwise id get neotec2
How is the bottom protection of both helmets to heavy rain? I have Neotec and C4 pro. Neotec protects the bottom part of inner liner while Schuberth does not. The result is that Schuberth in the rain absorbs humidity via bottom part and humidity expands inside inner liner. A detail which may be useful for those who are riding also in the rain.
Where can I buy the genuine motogp-quality helmets, and not the replicas, that are made for the motogp riders? Do I need to contact one of those brands directly? How does it work? Or wait... does it mean that in this case these replicas are exactly same quality but they're not THAT rider's exact helmet? Or is it also the actual technology in it that is a bit different since it's not homologated for street use?
Thank you for taking the time to make this video . What’s your testers personal helmet? I don’t think you can sacrifice for comfort. Oh also, never understand why sena has gotten in everybody’s pocket and ended up working out deals with all these helmet manufacturers. Cardo is a superior product. Now I need to go watch your quietest helmet video
They need to make a cruiser full-face that is light.
Whats the difference between this helmet and the scorpion exo R1 Carbon?
What is a better option ls2 explorer or scorpion xt9000 trailhead ????
Best helmet review ever! Good job and thx!)
arai?
Where is Bell & Nolan?
Good question. This comparison is based on our helmet testing results, however, our current testing pool of 22.06 Bell and Nolan helmets was too small to include them here.
Bluetooth?
in this video its saya the rpha 71 is just 1 decile louder, i have the rpha 71 and it is really loud, so i dont think this helmet is much quieter then mine. i just want a quiet helmet, please leave comments if you have owned both helmets ans can compare
I just bought the 100-6 and I would say it is a very good helmet. I was amazed by the ventilation system, very pleasant and efficient. The weight is not noticeable while driving and it isolate well the outside noise. As always with the Nolan helmets, it's very comfortable. To get something (not much) more you have to switch to the Schuberth C5 or Shoei Neotec3, which however cost much more.
Quick tip 🫣 try more flow when speakiing instead of reading. Vriendelijke kritiek 😊😇 content is wel goed
Your website is down
But it keeps the head cool in the summer very well doesn't it ??????
Very satisfied with my AGV, but yes, their anti-fog is garbage. Wish they improve their visors.
I have recently upgraded from neotec 1 to 3. N3 is much much more quiet than N1. The visor opening is also improved . However where N1 excels N3 is ventilation. The chin vent on N1 provided much more air than N3. With the added chin curtain in N3 I find N3 stuffy with just chin vent opened and visor locked. Another downside is that the new opening of visor in N3 in comparison to N1: in N1 the first stable gap when opening the visor was much smaller than in N3 which opens much wider. Summing up, I am only partially satisfied with N3 and am looking for alternatives
I've only been riding for five years and have only owned two helmets, both by brands on this list. My first helmet was the Scorpion EXO AT-950, which, even as a first helmet, was terrible. It was heavy, noisy, aerodynamically terrible and had more than one QA issue that the company brushed off - told me to fix it myself or go without a helmet for four months/almost the entirety of the riding season here. I won't buy a Scorpion helmet again because of that experience. The helmet that replaced the Scorpion, and with which I have been very happy (mostly), is the Shoei RF-1400. It's significantly more refined, quiet, comfortable and high-quality. The only think I dislike about the Shoei is the shield mechanism which is terrible to use when trying to change out a smoke for clear or vice-versa. My experience with the RF-1400 had me going to an X-15 next, that is until Alpinestars released their Supertech R10 for $200 less than the Shoei X-15 (in my country, anyway).
I've toured 400 miles in an MT Thunder 3 for £50. 5 star SHARP UK government testing.
cant afford any of these helmets, but appreciate the information and time taken
I've heard the weight of Neotec 3 is different in the US compared to Europe??
I would like to have seen a "field of view" ranking. That is the most important feature to me.
AGV, Bell and Shoei will be the top ones from ther list from my experience
17 years? Not very experienced then.
I've been riding with the Arai Quantic (Contour-x in North America) for 4 weeks now after a gruelling search for my new lid, so I'll give you all the highs and lows... Highs: 1) This thing is SOO unbelievably comfortable. It's like pushing your head into a velvet condom. (And that's a good thing!) 2) It's light. Real light. The reviews say the weight is on the higher side, but I find it remarkably light. Almost AGV light. 3) The ventilation is crazy good. You live in a hot climate? This thing is going to keep you cool. 4) My glasses go in with ease and sit on my nose. In fact, easier than any other AGV, Shoei or Shark helmet I've worn in the past. 5) It's got a smaller footprint than my old GT-Air... no bobblehead effect in a size XL. 6) It is beautiful. The Arai craftsmanship is stunning. I got the Face graphic, and I find myself just staring at the thing. 🙂 Lows: 1) Hot dang, it's expensive! The most money I have ever spent on a lid, but I keep them a long time so that's life. 2) WITH ALL THE VENTS OPEN, there is a lot of wind noise. But you see, ventilation requires moving air. Moving air is not quiet. When you close the two small top vents, it quiets down considerably. If you want a silent lid, go with the Shoei GT-Air 2 or 3. 3) The visor mechanism takes some getting used to. I have an old Arai Vector-2, so I'm used to it. Not a deal-breaker. 4) No photochromic shield available as of writing this. It's okay, I own sunglasses. ------------- Regrets: Zero Wallet: Hurting
Is there a difference in figment between the two helmets? Eg if I was a medium in GP Pro race, would a medium in the Aeron feel exactly the same? 😄 thank you!
Sizing is the same for both models.
I use Scorpion EXO-1400 and compared to my other no-name helmet its super loud. If you have a specific head shape its one of the best value-for-money helmets, but otherwise don't buy it. It will drive you crazy.
Shoei nxr2 ???
such a complete review...see you July 14th in Berlin ;-)
Looks like black/orange to me.
Our camera had some trouble picking up the red in these shots, though the helmet is definitely black / red.
The HJC RPHA 91 helmet may be the quietest, but 95 decibels is still extremely loud. So don't get all excited and think that it's quiet.
Good review , I love my Neotec2 but not sure if I will upgrade to a 3 , might try the scorpion price/Value look good , I do have integrated commu. on the shoei , but that is a feature that I don't like would like to chose my own communication device. I also have a Sena S3 and a Cardo Spirit ... mostly for music while I ride.
Curious: compared to the expensive top,of the range lids, how do the6 compare to budget lids if crashes tested at 10% lower speeds. Is it safer to ride slower or choose to ride faster with a more expensive helmet? Where should you hang your safety? With hi tech, or careful riding?
I am recently having issues with the police saying the labels on my Helmet labelled ECER2205 are not legal since ECER is not ECE which is fake. But from my research and your video I see that your helmet is also ECER2205, can I know what does the R stands for and how should I say to the police next time? Thanks
