Hello Doctor, here in my country they ask me to use lemon juice but this does not suit me. Symptoms appear at the beginning of the month. The pain lasts for only one day, then disappears, then reappears at the beginning of the month. I want the final solution, doctor

Sorry, but nobody’s moving something that was put in place that my body needs. When I was diagnosed hypothyroid in 91, they gave me a pill with radioactive iodine, which I believe the damage to my saliva glands, which sometimes get the size of almost a golf ball. Sometimes they get smaller and sometimes they get larger. You took out my husband’s bladder because he had cancer, but then you took out his prostate on top of it just in case. Now he walks around with a bag attached to his stomach! That’s not the kind of life I want for myself.

How do I find a ent willing to help me possibly remove my gland? It’s been there for two years swollen been to two different ent and they kinda blow it off as if not to worry about it. But I feel like it’s ugly and what good could come out of having it swollen. Exactly no good.

Why would you want a gland in your body that’s supposed to be there removed? Go find yourself a good holistic Doctor Who will get to the root cause instead of masking it or telling you you need surgery.

Hi Doctor Rosner, narcolepsy patient here. I found this video as it references a link between chronic sinus infections and narcolepsy, which I had never heard of until now! I just want to note that narcolepsy is not the second most common sleep disorder- OSA is, next to insomnia. In fact, narcolepsy is considered a rare disorder and is acknowledged by the NORD. This is an important detail to me, as we suffer various challenges that come with having a rare illness. These challenges include delays in diagnosis (average time of diagnosis from onset is 7-10 years), frequent rate of misdiagnoses, lack of awareness and misconceptions even within the medical community, difficulty affording treatment due to insurance conflict and expensive medication (orphan act), and despite significantly lower employment rates amongst patients it is not recognized by the SSA as a disability.

If a person had their salivary gland removed or any part of the glands removed or used botulism toxin what impact may it have? As a 32 yr old male I am struggling with my medical issues as I have to suck my oral cavity a lot in 24-48 hrs due to my Otofacial Syndrome

@Debbie Asselstine I hope you have come through surgery and are more positive about your prognosis. I had my parotid gland removed last year. Mine was not Cancerous but during subsequent followup appointments I got chatting to another person who had the surgery for a cancerous parotid glad, he'd had radiation and 2 years later he had completely recovered and was at the Doctors for 6 monthly checkup. I really hope you are doing well. 🙏🍀

agf1700 in glad you are doing well!! I just had my operation almost 13 day ago. Mine was not cancerous too. Is it normal that the surgery part is a bit sollwen and red? I know that some areas will be numb for a while, but im a bit concerned that its a bit swollen after 13 days. I hope this is normal.

  • @agf1700

@Yamaryanaria Afg Yes the swelling is perfectly normal after such invasive surgery. It will go down. Are you washing the stitches 2-3 times daily as I was directed to do? Do you have any facial paralysis? My mouth was pulling to one side for a while but was completely back to normal within 3-4 months. I still have slight numbness in my jaw and ear but they are minor issues. I'm sure you are glad to have the operation over with and from now on it's recovery. Be gentle with yourself. It will just take a bit of time.

agf1700 i wasnt told to wash the stiches infact they took it out within a week. I didn’t experience any facial pralsise either. My only concerns are its sowellen and hard when i touch it on the surgery area. I was told its not cancer but i have to do an MRI in 3 months just to make sure its not coming back. A craZy year for me i got so many gray hair lol im 34 so im staying up strong sometimes its hard ...

How do you know if it’s a stone versus an infection? Every time I eat, my parotid gland swells and it’s very painful 😖. But if I massage it, it goes back down. ENT never gave me a clear answer. Is this common after taking radiation pill?

I have lumps in the same area and have had them for four years, but it has never affected my eating. Sure sometimes it feels sore and I just put a heat pad on it. I had a CT scan and they just said oh it’s just your saliva glands like it was nothing. The healthcare in the USA sucks! The cure no diseases, and they cause more harm than good.
