Yes, Square does not support USB C - Square wants people to use the newer chip readers. Square is recommending people not to swipe cards in 2024.

I lost sales yesterday because the customer's magnetic strip was damaged. And Square reader has removed the link for manual entry of the card number. Any instructions on how to do manual entry?
We will look into this. We recommend having the buy tickets QR code printed and posted at your event, this way someone could scan it and buy tix right from their own device.

The fraud and charge backs are more protected with the chip readers - as fraudsters cannot clone a chip, while they can clone the old fashion magstripe.

Hey Ben, good question. We pass so many unique items into the Chat GPT prompt, like the Organizer name and location, event title and sub category. This makes the output more custom than simply "Write an event description for XYZ". Either way, people should always adjust it and and make corrections.

what if someone else uses the same qrcode at another entrance. Does he detect that it has been scanned or not?
If you have 1 scanner you will be able to detect it. However we recommend setting up a WIFI hot spot if and use the SimpleTix Organizer app if you need more than 1 person scanning tickets.

Can this be done online before the event day? For example, say you're selling a meal ticket that's in addition to the registration. Some persons may want to go ahead and buy online when they're purchasing their ticket. Others may opt to buy when they arrive. Will that meal ticket item show on the event page?
Yes, it can! We have some venues where families order their hot meals. So the kitchen staff have 'em ready when the folks arrive.

How does the customer get the food? Lets say check-in is at one location, but food is at another location. Is there a receipt, QR code, or something they could take to the food location?
This might not be the best usage for this feature. We think this is best for a location that checks people in, but also wants to sell tickets and items that are right next to the POS (point of sale)
