    beautiful plane, but you didn't get the memo on stretching the fuse for stability and to counter coupling

    Both models available again (June 2024) from Los Angeles Dynam warehouse. Both are great flying models. Good idea to spray a light coat of Minwax clear water based polurethane to protect finish. Don't fly tail-heavy, not for clue-less beginners.

    Best explanation I've seen so far and I've been covering RC planes since 1980 ! I started out with a house iron on my first few covering jobs and just had to teach myself how to make it work!

    Do you really need to loop that vent line? I was told that you can have a direct vent out the fuselage without any spillage because of the vacuum the carburetor makes.

    Not a fair test At time 6:17 he loaded the bucket of bolts while no power was on at the servo DS-8309 giving it an unfair advantage of rest time. At time 7:15 he loaded the bucket with power on the 7985 servo so the servo was under power a lot longer . If you are going to do a test make sure the test is the same all the way.

    He not entirely correct on ignitions. Older ignitions explicitly state 4.8vdc battery. That means a 4 cell nicad type battery. More recent ignitions allow higher voltages all the way to 11vdc. Read your ignition module before connecting any battery.

    Looping the line increases the likelihood of creating a siphon, find the video on KZread "self starting siphon" the greater amount of liquid in the line the more force is available to pull gas from the tank. You got it backwards.

    I've never understood guy who proudly announce, "Engine needles came factory set, never touched the needles" Really? Perhaps they got lucky? But, I doubt it. More likely they don't know how to adjust properly. This is an 8 year old video, I don't see the lawn boy break in recommendation anymore.

    Hi: I need some help. I set up the gyro following the procedure several times, but, when I check the movements on the gyro on, ailerons and rudder moves the way has to be, but the elevator doesn’t go the way has to be. I lift the tail and the elevator goes down instead up, what I’m doing wrong. Or how I have to change it, I went to all the functions on the radio and I can’t find why. Please some help. Thank!,

    I've read the low needle handle most of the throttle range with the high only coming into play after 3/4 throttle or more. I need more info on this as it would make tuning much easier if we knew if this is correct.

  • @explod329
    @explod329 Жыл бұрын

    I tune my High needle first getting the most RPM as possible then back it out 1/8 - 1/4 of a turn to keep some fuel there. Second I tune the low end needle. I go from idle to full throttle really quick and I am looking for that instant rev. Once I find that instant transition from idle to full throttle I back out the low needle 1/8 of a turn to keep some fuel there so it doesn't overheat. I have been doing this for 15 years and never had a single issue.

    You would be better drilling a small hole in the end of the light wing and screwing a countersunk screw in. You can add in some epoxy or wood glue into the hole first for extra weight. The point is, you will need far less weight on the end of the wing.

    What was the reason for moving the camera/mic because in any test you need a constant. Not saying this is the case but most of the time people do that to sway or enhance a product or the product just doesn't work. Even if that isn't the case the sound reduction was very minimal and no decibel and with the loss in engine performance I think you'll have a hard time getting this to catch on but that just my opinion get a decibel meter and lets see some hard proof
