Thank you so much for your kind words. We have been lucky to have lots of “experiences” over the years. But the experiences we have now are just as wonderful thanks to the likes of you, Darren and @exeterrider and many many other bike enthusiasts I’m meeting. It’s why I decided I had to go to the Dragon Rally as well. You meet the nicest people on bikes. Most are as mad as a box of frogs but lovely to know. 8:56 "Straighten out the line, no point in going through the corners if you don't need to" - do they seriously teach you to cross into the oncoming lane in order to avoid turning through a corner? Even if that was making extra space for the SUV to your left, riding straight to avoid leaning seems like bad practice. One of the best parts of motorcycling is setting up for a corner, selecting the right line to take, and executing it well. Even if you're not trying to go fast, smooth is easily possible and ironically setting up in the right position opens up your view through the corner, making it even safer than cutting the corner to ride it straight.

I bought the 450NK back in March, and the throttle had so much play in it that slow speed roundabouts were virtually impossible. It was on/off. Took all the slack out and it's transformed. Great little engine, really peppy, and just wants to go. I love it so much that i've placed an order for the 450MT to go alongside it. Just hoping that CFMOTO do a naked version of the new 675 now.

@@bencluroe4183so your not buying one based off this video of a guy riding on tarmac mostly doing 30km/h and saying it’s bad? What of the 100s of other people saying it’s good? Are they all full of crap? If you just want to cruise around on sealed roads, probably stick with the 390. If you want to hit the dirt, the 450 MT is a much better option. The harder you ride it the better.

@@Hickovids81 Hey, not full of crap at all, I just haven’t heard any negative comments in other videos, no bike is perfect so it’s refreshing to hear some negatives from this guys perspective. Motorcycles are subjective anyways aren’t they, I could love a bike you hate. I haven’t decided not to buy it yet either, I’m just glad I didn’t rush and swap my 390 before collating as much info as possible and testing the bike myself. The 390 is great for the street and the occasional light off road trail. Here in the uk it’s cheaper to run and whether you like it or not ktm is a more established brand even though I understand cfmoto and ktm are working together now. I’m not by any means saying this is a bad bike, I’ll definitely test one and let’s be honest end up swapping for something completely different to both bikes in the end. Let’s keep it friendly and thanks for your reply

Thought it was going to be the shortest review ever 😂. Security is so good, even the owner can't nick it 😊. We hired a Tricity 150 last year in Greece. The heavy front end is initially a bit overwhelming and we nearly swapped it straight away, but decided to persevere and glad we did. Brilliant little bike (trike). We wanted something a little more sure footed for some of the gravel tracks and it was great for this - enabled us to explore some of the more rural areas of Halkidiki. Much better than an awful quad bike. Plenty of oomph even two up and I suspect the 300 is even better. I'd recommend doing a cbt if coming from a car though. Not legally necessary of course but some instruction will help with the transition more safely. "It's ribbed - and not for your pleasure" 😂 Nearly spit my coffee out.

I did the Level 1 course on the GS1300 and can thoroughly recommend it. BTW, that bike has a quick shifter so you have to be sure to activate the clutch before touching the gear shift. That way the bike knows you are doing a manual shift and you won't have all that clunk and lurching when changing. It also has linked brakes, so you can just use the front brake only most of the time, even off-road.

I have a Piaggio 500 LT but brakes are the same, right brake is front, left brake is combines front and rear. Foot brake is combined front and rear. Foot brake is one of the requirements for it to be classed as a 'trike' (as is the minimum distance between front wheels - something Yamaha should have considered when they built the Nikens)). Only bought mine because I can ride it on a car license. I think the Tricity has a CVT transmission, so basically a belt that runs between two pulleys. The faster you go, the higher up the pulley the belt runs so you don't actually get any 'gear change'. Ruts have never been a problem for me as the suspension copes really well and on some roads with grass or gravel, the rear does fish-tail around but the front wheels don't skip a beat (I liken it to having a really fat front tyre for handling purposes). And "la pièce de résistance" is when you are on a long downhill stretch in very slow moving traffic, put the suspension lock on, no throttle and just roll down the hill - never gets old when I'm with my wife (she rides an MT-09) and will constantly be putting the bike in gear, out of gear, covering the rear brake etc and there is me; front brake on, front brake off.
