  I’ve been using one since new mostly for street photography & have shot thousands of images. It does around 10fps & very good stabilisation. I’ve travelled extensively with it and it’s a fine unit that very few people seem to know about. image qualityis very good.

  It's a spectacular camera for the time and still today, very nice files, very dreamy colors, if you can it helps to have a lens which lets in alot of light 3.5 fixed prime is sometimes not enough. And the focus recompose methods works fine with its 3 autofocus points, alot like the Canon 5D Mk1 ... weather proof, I like it alot. Highlights are well preserved, jpg's are nice, and lend themselves to editing, however RAW is better for shadow recovery fcourse. Wb is consistent. Things we take for granted. Like Auto ISO (which the Canon 5D didn't even have) no live view ... viewfinder is nice. Buffer is ok. I always love the files I get out of it. They are smoother than the E-300/E Digital series CCD from Olympus. Very Leica like. Ideal for slow shooting. But getting a very nice lens is expensive.

  i got one second hand. it doesn't turn on at all, the lense is open and it came without a charger or anything, it still has the battery but i don't know what to do with it or how to fix it

  I found the same camera which has not been touched in a while I put fresh batteries but the power button only works for a milli second but I can see the pictures . I am not able to understand what’s the issue , any suggestions?

  How do you charge it? There is a port on the side but it doesn't look like a standard USB port. Is it some sort of Samsung proprietary plug? Thanks.

  Hi, check the contacts inside the battery compartment and the lud ones - clean them if necessary. Insert fresh batteries and put and press your thumb on the battery lid to make sure it has contact inside and switch it on...

  I have a question for you :) I just got the exact same camera today and the battery is not working.. I was wondering if I can use the camera without the battery? Also, I noticed inside the camera when there is no film or battery in the camera the "shutter" i think looks black inside where i would imagine the lens to be sitting right in front of and opens when the button is pressed to let light in .. but it looks solid..?. I am not sure what I am looking at as its my first film camera and I was hoping you could help me out lol

  I still sometimes use mine and also my E-500. The E-300 has a tiny lcd monitor and its auto-white balance is not very “auto.” The upside is that it’s an awful lot like having a digital Kodachrome machine. Exposure latitude is very narrow. But get a shot right and it really rewards and sometimes looks like Kodachrome 64. I don’t think I ever get the same results from the E-500. Not sure why. The E-series lenses are kinda big and bulky but are generally very, very good, both the pro level and the kit lenses. The original 40-150 is a sleeper- made in Japan, not China, and f3.5-4.0.

  Hi thank you for watching. I totally agree with you. Basically it is a challenge using is and you really need to concentrate and hope, like in the analog times, shoot, hope, wait for a week and then finally the prints in your hand. Today finish your journey and find the next PC to evaluate your pictures... Have fun.

  So on the left side you have DC in . If you have the correct cable you may can convert one end to USB... However, check the battery compartment bottom where you see the golden contacts . You need to get to the bottom and try to lift these golden contact latches GENTLY. Good luck. No guarantee.

  Max ISO 800. Slow AF. Low resolution. But pretty nice during the day if you have expensive zuiko lens.

  Hi, remove the batteries. Check all buttons and/or apply a drop of break cleaner or clean alcohol to each button, push or press them a couple of times... Wait until nothing is wet anymore or vaporized. Insert the batteries and see if you still have the previous described symptoms. Otherwise redo it or remove the back and clean the buttons from the inside. Good luck.

  Hi, open the film compartment and check on upper right side if discover the latch of the counter mechanism. If so push it gently a couple of times and check if the counter went to start or zero...

  Hello Bopp, I am glad I found you, you have answered all my questions in this video so thank you. i bought one on Ebay today, the lens is more sophisticated than most Fex's, and is quite similar to the one used on the Weber-Fex 35mm which I already own. Cheers from Wales.
